Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
So, I spent most of my day watching PewDiePie videos. Definitely on my list of favorite Youtubers now!
Anyway, for some reason, I decided to watch his LP of Beyond: Two Souls, which was odd for me because, from what I've seen of the game, it didn't really appeal to me (watched Nerd3 do a video on it a while back).
So anyway, not much changed after watching PewDiePie's LP of it, although, I did find the story to be...okay.
One thing that definitely didn't change was this thought I've had about it: Why the fuck did they make this as a game and not a movie? I know it was supposed to be an interactive movie game thing, and I know that there's alternate endings and stuff, but seriously.... I just don't see the point in making video games that are basically just movies that let you do a few random things now and then..... I mean, you're basically paying $50 for a movie.....

Because some people want to share their story at all costs, and since they can't make it a movie, they go for a game because of the length. That and or they get lazy
also Joey, you should watch Lucajin, one of my favorite lpers :D

Ayup.
I beat it once, and then deleted it because I found out about an awesome exploit.
It is awesome and you are a disgrace to humanity if you like RPGs and don't play it.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
- large post about my current gaming possibilities:
- Okay, after the fiasco I had last night with game recording, I've been debating stuff in my head.
However, there are two things that I know for sure: One is that a 3DS is my main priority right now. Two is that I will eventually be getting Minecraft for the PC (since I can get it to work on this computer).
The thing I'm debating most right now is this: Should I go for PC gaming, or just stick to consoles?
I know a lot of games are better on PC, but I'm not sure if I can handle PC gaming. I mean, I probably could, but I'd hate to take a gamble by buying an expensive PC and then screw it up....
So yeah, I'm thinking about saving up for a new console instead. A while back, I was thinking about an XBox 360, but I really don't like how you have to pay to play online, so I'm now considering a PS3. Another reason I'm thinking this is because I like a majority of the PS3 version exclusive games over the XBox 360 ones.
Now, I might change my mind and go for a PS4 (since the PS3 will eventually become obsolete), but I'm not a big fan of what I've seen of it so far (especially the fact that it's not backwards compatible and that you have to pay to play online...), but if the PS4 can somehow play PS3 games (since most of the games I want to play are not on the PS3 only), I might change my mind. I have heard that there's a new feature that may make this possible, but I'll hold off on it until I hear more about it.
If I do go for a PS3, I'll either buy it after the price comes down more, or just buy a cheap (but in good condition) used one.
Also, if I do go for a PS3, I probably won't do a gaming channel on Youtube. However, I might go for a Mnecraft channel, and I will also try to set up a server so that we all can play together, but I'll probably need a better computer for all this, so I might also try and save up for a better laptop that can handle Minecraft (yeah, I know desktops are better for gaming, but, like I said, I don't seem to be good with technology and don't really feel comfortable with building my own PC anymore (plus, if I do go with the PS3 choice, most of the games will be on a PS3 anyway (although, there are a couple of upcoming games that I've been wanting that won't be on a PS3, so that might be a problem...))).
.........Okay, after going through that part, I'm not sure what to do anymore......
But anyway, long story short, if I do go with a PS3, it'll probably be a cheaper and simpler choice over a gaming PC, but would become problematic for future games (although, I've gone this long without current games, so I doubt it'll be too big of a problem (especially with the number of PS3 games that I'm interested in)).

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
I'd say stick to console gaming. PC gaming seems too much of a hassle. Unless you're trying to be a healer on Final Fantasy XIV. Then you should get a PC.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
pc is not a hassle, if anything, its eaiseir, all u have to buy is 1 "console" and u can play as many games as u want, and very rarely do indie games, *cough cough MINECRAFT cough cough* get console releases, plus pc games are inherently cheaper than console games *cough cough steam cough cough* and its waaaaay easier to purchase pc games, plus at least woth xbox, buying used games will become impossible. also, discs can only hold a certain amount of data, limiting the gameplay, not byuch, but limiting it.

You have missed jokool's key problem, his computer is not built for gaming. My own computer isn't very good with gaming.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
And the fact that I have almost no idea what to do when it comes to buying or building a gaming PC...
I would just buy a pre-built PC, but everything I've seen says don't do it because pre-built PCs don't have the best parts in them (like cheap motherboards).
But if I think about building a PC, I have to worry about doing something wrong while building it. I guess I could just buy the parts and have it built for me, but I also have no idea what parts to buy... Again, I look around, but everything I see says stuff changes with time. One day, this graphics card may be the best choice for your money, but then the next, it seems like it's obsolete, overpriced, stuff like that...
Another thing is I'm not even sure where I'd even put a desktop if I did get one... There's not that much room in my room (even after cleaning everything up), and my grandma doesn't like clutter in the living room (which is the only other room I could think of putting a desktop).
It just seems easier and cheaper at this point to go with a console. I mean, all I have to do is buy the console, hook it up to a tv, pop a disc in, and play the game.
