(I thought I made it "fairer" by giving Miku all the transformation powers, leaving myself with no transformations and her with no other abilities. Though I never said that directly... I'll keep this in mind with selecting her replacement and her abilities.)

(You don't have to take it that far, you know. I can remedy the "leaving the planet" part with surprising ease, of which I'll elaborate upon later. As for leaving the group, you could always be urged to stay by the other members. Transformative abilities should best be limited to organic creatures unless absolutely necessary--say, if you're without your own weapon.)

(I believe having a cracked blade fits that bill. Zanpakutō do regenerate, but do so slowly and the blade's state means I can't release it or use it as a regular blade.

You kind of lost me with the rest of your response, if only because it doesn't relate directly to the issue of powers, which was the subject of my previous post.)

A square set of traditional Japanese Doors appear near the group. The doors slide apart, revealing another set of doors, set inside of a circle. Those doors part, revealing the outlines of two people. As they step out, one is Andrew and the other is a girl with long white hair. The girl is wearing an outfit that resembles Andrew's, but is very different (and also doesn't current display the "wing" of energy). The doors close and disappear as Andrew steps forward. "My apologies for going off on my own earlier. It's not one of my better decisions and cost me my Lieutenant. Taking Miku's place is Yuki, my best long range subordinate." Yuki bows. "Pleased to meet you."

(I didn't mean immediately, but oh well...)

"There you are!" Arcturus' excitement quickly faded as he recalled the events that took place in most of the group's absence.

Chaos' master, meanwhile, had come up with an effective strategy, and proceeded to open a portal to contact his Angeloid.

Arcturus glanced downward. "Y-You were right... About Chaos, that is."

"Chaos, begin Operation: Masquerade. You know your part well enough, if I recall?"

"N-Now Joseph..."

Chaos, now only mostly transparent, nodded.

"...He's go--" Arcturus was interrupted by a familiar blue-haired man hopping out of the nearest tree.

"AGH!" Startled by the appearance of the man, Lief immediately took up a fighting pose.

Yuki manifests a bow and energy collects at her shoulder. Andrew takes no obvious actions of aggression.

When Joseph appeared, Lux felt something in the air. It wasn't danger, or tension, but conflicting emotions. These were all coming from Arcturus, it seemed to be a mix of sadness, confusion, and perhaps a hint of happiness? "Mr, what's wrong? Aren't you happy to see your friend back?"

"I-I watched you perish..." Arcturus shivered. "W-What are you?"
"Stranded on Planet God-knows-where after my ship crashed."

"He asked what are you, not why are you on this planet."

"I'm Joseph Connor, remember?"

"B-But she didn't even leave a body... How can you be alive and well, let alone alive?"

"I believe there are several possibilities. Number 1, this is an illusion created by Chaos using Joseph's memories. Number 2, this is the Joseph we know, only being controlled. Number 3, this is someone completely different. I believe further interrogation is required." Andrew has the smile of an interrogator who very much enjoys his work.

"Oooooooooooor we could beat the crap out of him now," Lief offered. "If what Arc said was true, Joey...doesn't exist anymore. This has to be a fake."

Joseph frowned at Lief. "And on the off chance that Arc is an impostor?"

"Then we'll beat the crap out of him too. Someone's going to break."

"Or perhaps one of you isn't who you claim to be? Isn't that right, Lief?"

"Enough talk." Andrew delivers a hammer-like blow to the back of Joseph's head.
