So would that work for a sig, or is my current one good enough? I know gif images can cause a bit of lag for page loading, so I wasn't sure if it was too big (that, and I wasn't sure if the image link actually worked).

I think Lima's sig is tad bigger than that. I'd say go for it, worse case scenario is that you go back to what you have now.
