But yeah, definitely fun.

I think it's just that all of Shiva's attacks freeze. Getting hit by them without Deflect or similar always freezes you, which is uber-annoying.

Also finally got Beastmaster.

Their Tame ability appears to massively increase - if not guarantee - the chance that an atmalith will drop if it's used to kill a monster.

It really is; even if you don't have a use for the monsters that come from the atmaliths, you can use them in forging to get cool effects.

So far all I've done is get a bunch of Lizards and get more HP on my Onion Armor, also get some Chocobos. :U

Unfortunately, you need to make 20 monsters to get the Beastmaster job, which means you have to find twenty of the damn things in the first place, and get enough gil to make 'em.
