Got anything you want to say about the fighting yesterday?

Something about two racers beating each other up on the track and then the pit crews also got into a brawl after the race in the parking lot. NASCAR is not taking the whole thing lightly and in the case of the crew brawl, NASCAR does not care if Virginia prosecutes the pit crews (several members were arrested).

Whoa....

I tried to pull up the article on NASCAR.com, but my computer froze up.....

One of the racers got kicked in the manly area no manly man ever wants to be kicked in, especially by another manly man.

That right there tells me it went too far.... DX

I've seen that happen at football games (probably baseball too, but I can't remember when), but that was definitely a first.

Talladega has not disappointed me this year. A lot of wrecks and carnage and very interesting finishes.

Great race! Lots of action and excitement. Rain delay sucked a bit, but they filled in that with some cool classic race moments which were awesome, and also showed a replay of the last few laps of the Daytona 500.

It was also nice to see someone who hasn't won in a while win a race. And Jeff Gordon managed to get an 11th place finish even after getting banged up in the first big one.

Did you see the Nationwide three way finish the previous night? Only for it to be thrown out the window by the last second caution?

Those designers aren't doing a good job of keeping those cars on the ground. At least the car didn't go into the fence like it did a few years ago at this same track.

Yeah, I saw that. Something tells me they'll be looking into that rule later on, at least for last lap cautions.

And yeah, Ryan Newman was pretty pissed off by that when they talked to him after the wreck.

TBH though, I'm not sure what else they could do to the cars to keep them from flipping like that except maybe improving the roof flap system.

At least they got rid of the rear wing a few years ago. That was a nightmare the way it would flip the car over so easily.... They've also made the roll cage stronger. They said that a new bar was added to it this year called the 'Newman bar' because of all the big wrecks Ryan Newman's been in.

They also have the video of the first big one (with Kasey Khane, Kyle Bush, and a bunch of others) and second big one (the one with Kurt Bush flipping onto Ryan Newman) on the Fox Sports Youtube page. It looked like Danica Patrick almost flipped over as well in the second wreck...

The purpose of a spoiler is to provide downforce, I think. So increasing the spoiler and adding more weight to the bottom of the car (maybe making them a little wider too) could help.
