Re: Poké Park [v6]
Again, it's not a 100% finished game. I'm willing to bet they'll add in a proper location for it sooner or later.

Is anyone gonna be free on Sunday or late Saturday? My Comite just evolved into Cometeor and I'm looking to evolve it and it only evolves through trade.

I can do it, sure! On the condition that you help evolve my Linkite, which also needs to be traded.

Well I've hit a snag, apparently Uranium is being blocked by my firewall. Augh, this will be fun to sort out...

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Figured it out, it's not on my end. All online services are down and apparently have been for a while now. Looking over the development team's twitter, apparently it's from hacked mons, DOS attacks, and sheer demand.
Also interesting, according to the readme.txt in the game's installation, it is possible to trade and battle your friends! You go to the Nurse at the far right, and have to know your friend's ID, though this may differ from the trainer id number actually displayed in game.
Just putting this out now, my trainer is Ayumi (female), ID 15922.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
HOW IS A HERMIT CRAB SO DAMN FAST
I was doing so well against Cali too right up until her last Pokémon Cararalm, which completely wiped me out. Crabhammer decked Snazzy, who was my only real answer to a Grass/Ground type, having already sacrificed Lima using Struggle Bug to lower Sableau's (think Gastrodon) Special Attack and therefore Water Pulse, which had just wrecked Jokool (whom is now a star player on my team). Leaf Blade slaughtered Lief (whose survivabilty thus far hasn't been great), Lux, and my unnamed Cometeor. All the while it's outspeeding everything on my team, including Lief who is actually my second fastest mon behind Lima (47 vs 56) despite having a resisted speed stat.
My team's levels were at 25, Cali's last two Pokémon were 28.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Indeed, that was the scariest thing I've ever done in a game. The soundtrack and limited field of view especially made the experience complete. The plant is also where jokool really shined, effortlessly dispatching the Nuclear Pokemon. It's also where I made a screw up, I planted both of my Leppi berries, thinking I might need a day or two to completely explore. And then past the point of no return, I realized what I'd done.
So, um while I was looking my team once more, I discovered that despite Lux having a Modest Nature, his Attack is apparently being Boosted and his Special Attack is being Resisted.
Does anyone else have a Modest Pokémon to see if this is a freak thing or what?

Whew, I was getting worried for a second, not that it's a huge deal, Elextruxo's attacking base stats are 80 and 90 anyway. Also apparently most of my team can learn Aerial Ace, most of those being ones who can't fly.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Because Aerial Ace isn't an aerial move.
It's actually a sword-fighting move, with the type coming from the "swallow" bit.
Bulbapedia wrote:This move is based on and named after Sasaki Kojiro's "Turning Swallow Cut" sword technique, so named due to its resemblance to the motion of a swallow's tail in flight, and is usually construed as a quick upward slash followed by a second one down the same direction, same as the move's animation.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Interesting. Speaking of sword fighting, Lief just won me my third badge, with just one HP remaining. This time I started off with Jokool instead of Snazzy to counter the her first mon with a devastating Revenge. Then I had Lima toy with Sableau, knowing that Struggle Bug would tip the odds in her favor and forced Cali to burn through her potions and conveniently healed up jokool in the process. jokool however was quickly taken out by a critical Leaf Blade hit from the crab.
Now I didn't grind at all, all I did was teach Aerial Ace to Lima and Lief and went back at it. Snazzy opened the fight on the crab and quickly paid the price after landing just one hit. Lief was able to land a first strike on the crab, almost KOing. I was planning that Lief would die to the crab next turn and Lima would finish the job. Instead the crab chose to Curse and Lief KOed it.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Well that was an interesting turn of events. My worst fears about Nuclear Pokémon are becoming true if that last mon was anything to go by. On the bright side, Lux answered the call and evolved in the process!
