That reminds me, Gamestop as an attractive bundle for refurbished consoles. It was like each of the big three for about $100 in a $300 bundle. Or maybe that was the brand new consoles and the refurbs were much cheaper.

Ooo! They had both Suguri games for sale over at the Vizzed market! Unfortunately, I think I grabbed the only ones that were available...

...now I just have to wait for a new computer...

Hey y'all, while we're talking more on the hardware side of things, I want to find the best way to get a PS3, preferably new (or as new as one can get it these days). I've been looking around myself, and I've pretty much made up my mind, but I want to get a second opinion from you all, see if something is brought to my attention that I wasn't aware of.

I'd think the best bet would be getting one used from GameStop. While it won't be new, it's still going to be in working condition, and it would be cheaper than buying one new.

Alternatively, you could try Amazon, for striking that perfect balance between "new" and "affordable".

well, while we're on the topic of play stations, I was wondering whether to buy a ps3 or a ps4. I feel like there isn't a lot of content for the ps4, but I have a 4Kp TV....

Also, I finished Resident Evil Revelations.

I very much liked it. Kind of survival horror in the beginning, more action near the middle to the end, but I didn't mind that. It had great graphics for a 3DS game, but that's to be expected since it was released for other platforms as well (though graphics aren't that important to me). Definitely worth $20 for a 3DS game. I'm getting through raid mode, but I'm so flipping happy I finally finished this game. I hate having unfinished games around. Overall, it interested me in the Resident Evil franchise and I will definitely give the remastered original Resident Evil a go when I can.

For now...I'd like to finish Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker once and for all....I'm tingling with anticipation because it seems like I still have a long way to go on that game.

PS3s are definitely more afforable and according to the person at Gamestop the last time I went, pre-owned ones are going to drop significantly in price in a few months.

On the subject of PlayStation: I still kinda want to get a ps4, but most of the games I've been wanting are either on PC, or being ported to PC. True, there's still a few ps4/console exclusive games (like uncharted, persona, etc.) but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of the ones that are exclusive will be ported someday (notably Final Fantasy 7 remake, Final Fantasy 15, and Danganronpa 3, given that they've been porting those game series lately).

As for the ps3, honestly, I'd still consider getting a ps3 if they were all backwards compatible (since my ps2 is dying on me). I know the earliest ps3s were, but I doubt I'd be able to find one that was either in good condition or reasonably priced...

actually, gamestop refurbishes the og ps3, and it's only 80 dollars last I checked, but it doesn't hold near as much data as a slim or super slim and has a similar issue and fialure rate to the 360's RED RING.
you're better off getting another ps2 (my fat still works and I most definitely overused that) and getting a standard slim ps3.

You should get a Tales game. Xillia/xillia 2, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Zestiria, and Tales of Symphonia Chronicles are all on the PS3.

I just really like tales games, okay?

okay jack, a fat ps2 can play ALL ps2 games, but in some cases it need the HDD peripheral, which came bundled with final fantasy XI, which now has servers shut down.
slim removed that issue.
if I were you I'd get a slim ps2 and a slim ps3, and wait to see if there's a slim ps4 coming out, because the ps4 failure rate is higher than the fat ps3 and the original 360 COMBINED.
