Listening to the Dining Room soundtrack from Ib is really helping me set the mood for my theme.

I've refreshed the page five times and keep getting the same image. :? Not that I'm complaining, it looks good. It's got the big skull that has an illuminated blue mouth in an archway that has a little skeleton with pink shoes and a blue jacket standing in it.

Oh, that one.
The image itself is randomized, so if you copy/paste the URL it's still gonna be random.

One of the images you had for your sig reminded me of Marie from Skullgirls, so that helped spark the idea for my theme.
I might change the sig pic tomorrow, but I love this avi!

- Nothing to see here:
That's a much deeper analyzes than I've ever made. Though usually when a song like that comes on, I'm usually looking on my other four channels (I get three country and two pop) for something more upbeat. Typically if I find myself listening to such a song, I'm in rush hour traffic (I do have to travel on some of the busiest roads on the outer edge of the DC metro area) and I'm listening to music to help me keep stress down. I was initially afraid that listening to my radio would distract me, but was amazed how much easier driving felt once I started listening to the radio.
I share similar feelings. (Though it's easy to say all the singers of a genre sound the same, with maybe a few exceptions)Charles wrote:
Same as Dragelsnart, though I also don't like how nearly every country song I've heard has the word "country" in it.Lord Dragelsnart wrote:
The instruments involved, all the singers sound the same to me and the subject matter of the songs doesn't really interest me. Just not a fanLord Dragelsnart wrote:I'm not a fan of that culture really and I just find the music annoying.
Again, there are some country songs I like. They tend to be more modern songs with elements of pop, similar to TS' inclinations.- But then there's songs like this:
- and this:
that make me cringe. The jingoistic attitude of "America fuck yeah!"/"America's #1 and can do no wrong!" that oozes out of the latter comes off as obnoxious and smug to me when it has a looooong history of atrocities committed in the name of it. Combined with "good ol' traditional 'merican" values from back when discrimination against those who didn't adhere to them was more openly widespread, it's just so "ugh" for me.
This is not directed against any Christian members of the Pit Stop, but the first song makes me think of the Christians who supposedly follow the good book, and then turn around to be Antisemitic/Islamophobic/etc. (I hear this song all the time at work but if they played a song about someone expressing their faith in Allah ooo boy what a shitstorm that wold result in.)
I will end this with saying that I do enjoy all of the freedoms that are afforded to me by being born in America. I just hate the attitude that being born in this country somehow makes you superior to people from other nations. It's sheer coincidence that one ended up being born where one was.
Well with the walls already busted, I had to do something dramatic D:

Ah, the flat rate system. One of those things that sounds good on paper, but instead is the underlying cause of so many problems in the automotive repair industry. Of note, I hear many diesel shops do not use flat rate.

It depends on where I am for me. If I'm in a situation like that, I'm usually not paying attention to what I've got playing because I'm too focused on avoiding a crash. x.x But this is coming from someone who doesn't regularly drive through such situations.Truthseeker4449 wrote:That's a much deeper analyzes than I've ever made.
