Technically there are 1024MB in a GB because of the maths of binary and stuff but hard drive manufacturers rounded down to simplify it for consumers and also to give the consumer less hard drive space but it's just a joke so I'll leave it alone

Now I'm becoming confused, when did one's own sexual activity come into play, unless you mean how one determines "average" to figure out if someone else is "above average"?Khaki wrote:The Conductor wrote:Metata wrote:why is slut still a derogatory termGood question, I recall reading that people are trying to change that. That said, still pretty certain that Nanna wouldn't fit the definition of slut, unless...It's sort of like using "bitch" and "bitching" and "pussy" as derogatory
To be fair, this goes for the majority of insults because that's all part of the intent. It's just the association with femininity* (and usually submissiveness) that gets me and the double standard, hence the use of "man-slut" or "man-whore" to clarify when one is referring to a male. Unless his virility is being celebrated, then he's a player. I just don't understand why people feel the need to use their amount of sexual activity to gauge how much of a "prude" or "slut" another person is.

I share similar feelings. (Though it's easy to say all the singers of a genre sound the same, with maybe a few exceptions)Charles wrote:
Same as Dragelsnart, though I also don't like how nearly every country song I've heard has the word "country" in it.Lord Dragelsnart wrote:
The instruments involved, all the singers sound the same to me and the subject matter of the songs doesn't really interest me. Just not a fanLord Dragelsnart wrote:I'm not a fan of that culture really and I just find the music annoying.
Again, there are some country songs I like. They tend to be more modern songs with elements of pop, similar to TS' inclinations.- But then there's songs like this:
- and this:
that make me cringe. The jingoistic attitude of "America fuck yeah!"/"America's #1 and can do no wrong!" that oozes out of the latter comes off as obnoxious and smug to me when it has a looooong history of atrocities committed in the name of it. Combined with "good ol' traditional 'merican" values from back when discrimination against those who didn't adhere to them was more openly widespread, it's just so "ugh" for me.
This is not directed against any Christian members of the Pit Stop, but the first song makes me think of the Christians who supposedly follow the good book, and then turn around to be Antisemitic/Islamophobic/etc. (I hear this song all the time at work but if they played a song about someone expressing their faith in Allah ooo boy what a shitstorm that wold result in.)
I will end this with saying that I do enjoy all of the freedoms that are afforded to me by being born in America. I just hate the attitude that being born in this country somehow makes you superior to people from other nations. It's sheer coincidence that one ended up being born where one was.
I hope you're able to make your dream come true, Chibs. ;w;Chibster wrote:My music consists of soundtracks, pop, international, and classical. It's always been a dream of mine to see Joe Hisaishi conduct live. :o

Great adaption and general set-up of videogame version of Toronto- ...but after having said that I too wouldn't desire a rewatch anytime soon except for some of the more iconic scenes:
