This. Is. MINECRAFT! [v3]

It's several crap tonnes of mining and a lot of crafting. Building just the rocket ship alone is like 60 individual crafting steps. Not to mention finding, obtaining, and refining oil to use as rocket fuel. Or the two or three or so hundred steps in building all the supporting equipment.

Once you're finally on the moon, you gotta set up a moon base, then defeating it the Moon Skeleton and defeating it to go to mars and repeating the process to go to Mars to defeat the Three-Headed Mars Creeper.

And don't forget to hold space to slow down.

Presently looking at the Tekkit modpack, which throws a good bit more in addition to Galacticraft into the mix, including some interface mods. The trick is trying to find what version is being used because all users wishing to use the modded server must have the mods installed on their machines.

Also I am slightly concerned that when I asked MC to give me their recommended plan for 8 players and Tekkit, they came back with the "Iron" plan, which is normally meant for 40 players.

Well scratch the tekkit plan, I can't even install it myself because the launcher is failing to install a pack for me try.

...I wanna play Pixelmon now...

My desire to play Pixelmon is growing... I could install it myself, but what's the fun in playing by yourself...

First, in no particular order. BTW I assume you're running at least Windows 7 and have decent navigational skills around your system.

Download Version 5.0.0, which will run on 1.10.2 Make sure you download the 5.0.0 - 1.10.2 - Beta 7 file for the Ultimate Test Later!!! For me it was the fourth one down.

Download Version 1.10.2 - 12.18.1.2091 of Forge. At the time of this typing, it is the Latest Download. Choose the Windows Installer found under the Download Latest Banner. It's the one with the Windows Logo. Run the installer once it downloads and pick Install Client.

Once Forge is installed, boot up Minecraft's Launcher. Look in the bottom Left corner, your Minecraft username should be there. Click on it, it should open a drop down menu. Select forge. Now launch Minecraft as if you were doing it normally.

If you've done everything correctly, Minecraft's screen should have changed so there's a bunch of a text in the bottom left corner. There should also be a new button called Mods. Shut down Minecraft.

Now locate the Pixelmon .jar in your Downloads Folder. Then, if you're somewhat of a power user, the folder you want to navigate to C:\Users\YourAccountNameHere\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft

Look for a folder called Mods. Now drag and drop the Pixelmon jar file into the Mod folder.

Relaunch Minecraft. If you see a loading bar saying something about Pixelmon, congratulations, you've done something right. If when Minecraft finishes loading you see something about four mods loaded, again congratulations!

To return to vanilla Minecraft, simply choose your Minecraft name from the Launcher's profile drop down.

Question: Is Optifine compatible with Pixelmon, and is there a version to go with the latest version of Pixelmon/Minecraft? I remembered that mod the other day after my 1FPS nightmare...

Actually yes, in fact the Beta Launcher on the download page I linked too has a package with Optifine in it. However I wasn't able to get it install right. BTW, did you ever check to see what your render was set to?

I had everything at minimum and it was still crap...

...honestly not sure if Optifine would help any, but I can hope. I'll see if I can get it set up sometime this week.

I already chose my starter last night.

I just discovered I can make a refrigerator.

...why do you need a refrigerator in Pixelmon?

...or Minecraft for that matter...

I think it's for making it feel more like a Pokémon game, there's a couple of other items like it, like boxes. It does store items though.
