Tropes List

If I'm reading the article right, basically every one of us has to be shipped with pretty much everyone else. But unless two billion ships have popped up overnight, that isn't really true. :/

Pretty sure WhatTheFuckIsHappeningWhyIsSomeoneGrillingOnTheCeilingShipping takes care of that.

Even if it doesn't, the regulars are pretty much all shipped together, anyways.

And I'm well aware of the fact the page is now messed up. It turns out that we've made the post too big, so I'm trying to increase the post character limit.

Found another problem... BBCode got all fucked up and replaced with HTML.

Everything should be fixed now. Turns a large section got duplicated and transformed into HTML. But that doesn't resolve much about the finite character limit I discovered...

Maybe in the future, we should separate the different sections into different posts?

since A LOT of other forums do things like what jokool said, I'll second splitting sections into separate posts.

The mainest problem with that is that we're going to need a new thread for that. Unless you can magically put in two new posts at the beginning of the thread.

We're about halfway through this thread before it splits, maybe we can just work with it until then, and then once it's about to split, just reserve the posts that will be the new first post for the new lists?

...Yeah, that's way more complicated sounding now then when I first thought of it in my head...

Making a new thread and making other users unable to post in it until the other two posts/lists are able to be added in sounds like a better idea, although it would still present a problem when the thread splits.

Or we could make a thread for the tropes and a thread for the suggestions.

Or we could make the thread not split. I'm pretty sure that's an option (though I can't remember if you can do it on a by-thread basis or if it has to be global.)

I think a dedicated tropes thread and a dedicated tropes suggestion thread is the best plan

That's probably best. Maybe change the name of this topic to Trope suggestions, then have a new Trope List topic that's locked.
