I've got something to be overjoyed about

For starters, I had called a Leadership Meeting 30 minutes before practice began and was able to get a few things off my chest (like how our last game was because last week'swas canceled, you know. The one that I was so frustrated at that I swore. Yeah, I let them in on that to show case my stress in my position lately.) So we were able to have a good discussion about where the band is right now and what we can do to help it further improve-- get our sections and ourselves refocused.

So the meeting went well. And I think it worked a bit.

Because tonight made me feel like it was last year again, the first time I started actually marching with the band and everyone had a pretty good attention span for the most part. Especially in the percussion section.
Tonight felt good to me, I am even a bit winded right now because 9f all the good work put into it. I am getting a blister on my left ring finger because of Traditional Grip, and we will be playing Traditional next week at Homecoming! (I am a little worried about the blister thoufh, as I am left handed and that can get very annoying very quickly. I think I'll be fine though) and I felt like I did some of my best crab-step marching since I've began! It just felt really good in general.

We still have a lot to improve on...oh boy do we have a lot in need of fixing. We only have 2 performances left, and I don't think I personally am in the best spot for that. But tonight, it felt good. It was much more focused today, and I enjoyed myself without very much stress at all. :)
