Lost Legends

Not wanting to stand in the dark Erin move North to catch up with Lief.

You run up behind Lief and look around, you don't rely on the torch as much as the human paladin, so you're able to clearly see that the torchlight hits the wall of a corridor over to the west, though it does make it clear that there is a turn to the north other there, though you can't see as clearly as you'd like. You can actually see see that it's only the room you're in that has a wooden floor, as the wood stops halfway through the corridors, perhaps they ran out of wood, or perhaps something else used to live here? You can hear the same voices Lief hears, but you know for certain they are speaking draconic, unfortunately they are too far away for you to hear.

David caught up with his peers to see a fork in the road.

As David reached the others at the fork, he would look around and see something...interesting.

David posts next with his reaction to the information he got :O

David noticed they were standing on a pitfall trap! "Guys this is a trap, we need to move, fast." he said moving Lief out of the way to the right.

The floor beneath David and Erin swung downwards, causing the two to begin to fall. Erin grabbed the edge of the floor nearby, and held on for dear life, while David jumped onto the wall and held on, and before they knew it the floor had come back, helping Erin get back up, and allowing David to step on solid ground.

That was not the last of it. Lief was pushed forwards, torch in hand, and the new light allowed him to see four kobolds, each armed with a dagger hiding nearby, and one of them seemed to have his hands on a lever(K2).

Now to explain the recent change I did to battle to make it move a lil quicker! In your turn you get to move and attack. But what if you don't want to attack? You can instead move double your speed. What if you don't want to move? You can attack twice! Though remember the enemy can also attack twice! Also the square with the pink shape is the floor that moved but came back.

Also you guys suck, you rolled enough to avoid being trapped >:(

While Lief was startled by David pushing him forward, he then noticed the pit trap that he was saved from. "Thanks, David," he said. Then he noticed the kobolds and muttered. "Of course..." With that, he moved in front of the fourth kobold and slashed with his sword.

K4 moved swiftly and blocked Lief's blade, smirk on his face as he held his ground.

Zena is next! Oh and by the way you can hear the sounds of battle going on :T

Oh and because I assume you're gonna ask, you can walk through allies, but if you end up on the same spot as them then you end up pushing them. You could also just push them anyway(though its possible to fail pushing on normal occasions). Arrows go straight and as long as you can see someone you can shoot at them.

Shouts echoed out of the cave the other three had entered. Zena stood there, a little shocked and unsure. I don't think there's much I can do in there... she thought, trying to peek inside. She could see Erin and even a bit of David, but the close walls and corners made it difficult to see what the disturbance was.
She didn't feel comfortable going in there, but she also felt guilty leaving her new acquaintances behind...

Finally, she made her decision. She stuck her foot out to move and...turned on her heel, heading over to loot Kobold 7.

Zena found a dagger(+1 to accuracy, 1-4 piercing damage) and 3 silver!

Back inside the cave, a soft clapping could be heard as a kobold walked down the passage. This kobold was different, wearing glasses and a lab coat. His hair, or fur, was covering his right eye and he was also carrying a book.

"Not bad, few people tend to notice that trap before....hehe."

He pulled a red vial out from his coat and threw it in front of Lief, a red gas spreading out. The smell...nothing, but the kobolds seemed...different somehow. That was when K3 charged at Lief and pierced through the armor, the dagger digging deep into Lief's torso.

David wondered what the hell just happened with the red gas. But considering Lief just got severely wounded, there was no time to lose and went to attack the first kobold he saw, which just so happened to be kobold 3.

David's strike moved towards the kobold, who seemed to have seen, or perhaps sensed, the attack coming and moved out of the way.

Since all you did was attack, you can either move or attack again david :T

David attacked kobold 3 again.

This time K3 was too slow and took the blade to the side, losing consciousness as he fell to the ground. K4 fiercely struck at Lief, the first blow being blocked by the armor, but the second cutting his face.

I wasn't trapped so I can fight, right? And less see if I understand the new battle system

Apparently Red gas makes Kobolds a threat, if Lief's wound was to go by.

Erin moved between David and Lief, and because Zena was no where in sight, Erin grabbed Lief's arm and used 'Laying on Hands'
