Lost Legends

Welcome to a super special awesome project!

Basically we will be playing Dungeons and Dragons….sorta, in a way, I will try to follow most of the rules, but man there are so many that I’ve decided to simplify things for us so that the toughest part will be character creation, which I’ll get into in a bit :P

Firstly, what is D&D? Basically it’s a table top pen and paper game, which people play at a table and stuff. It’s an rp, but with stats and maths and stuffs(don’t worry, I’ve moved most of the maths to behind the scene stuff so I’ll be doing most of it). The way we’ll play is that a person makes a post and then I(the DM(dungeon master(the guy who determines how all random events and npcs behave))) and then the next person goes. I will warn you right now, it might play somewhat slow. Because there are so many rules that probably won’t be used, I’ll explain things as we go that way I don’t dump too much info on you at once. Also I’m too lazy to catch up on official lore so I’ll make stuff up as we go :I

Plot:

Countless years ago, the many races of this world lived in peace. It was a time of love, and harmony, but then everything changed when the fire nation Darkones attacked. Nobody was sure just who the Darkones were, but each attack decimated cities, leaving no survivors. People began to point fingers, and the years of tranquility were forgotten as war erupted, ending civilizations and bringing death and mistrust. Centuries of progress were lost in a few years, until almost nothing was left The races continued to fight amongst the rubble until one day a small group was found. They were made up of members of each race, struggling to survive in this dying land. They reminded the other races of the times of harmony they had given up, and all the races sheathed their blades, seeing how much they had caused their world to suffer.

Now, the war is long forgotten, only spoken by in the winds, treated as a legend. Many races continue to distrust, or even hate, each other, but many, if not all, of the races have agreed to attempt to maintain peace amongst each other. Now, a small group of adventurers meet, unaware of what awaits them in their future explorations, and how it all leads back to a legend long lost…

Now for some very basic rules stuffs about how things work:

  • We have stats that allow me to determine how actions play out, using a rng to aid me, so when you post don’t say that you manage to complete something, instead say you attempt it(unless its something so simple that someone with your stats should be able to do it such as drinking out of a cup, tying your shoes, or changing your clothes)
  • Hit points are your health, and if they reach 0 you are considered ‘fainted’ as in you can’t keep fighting but you’re still alive and mobile, just your stats are split in half, though if your hit points reach negative then you count as dying, and I will use an rng to decide if you die or not. Don’t worry though, hit points will always stop at zero and go to negative only if you get hit while ‘fainted’
  • You can revive a dead member using special items or by using a special default spell you each get, which is just transferring  HP from you to the dead team mate to get their HP back to 0 or above(up to you to decide how much you want to give)


Those are the basic rules about how things will work, if you have more questions about how things work go ahead and ask, and if you’re interested post saying you’re interested and on Wednesday I’ll pm you with character creation stuffs so we can make your character. That’s also where I’ll be explaining more about stats, magic, abilities etc, but feel free to ask ahead of time if you want.

(with the proper equipment (i.e. armor is chain mail armor)
History: Lief is the captain of the Concordian Army. He entered the military due to an attack from rogue elves. He was able to survive with injuries he could recover from, but his fiancee was killed in the attack. Due to this, he carries a hatred for elves. Determined to prevent anyone else from losing their love, he trained to be a paladin. He has unofficially allied himself with the dwarves, hoping to perhaps help them in their campaign against the elves.

Sir yes Sir!: Members of whatever army you were a part of will recognize you(give that army a name) and those of lower rank will listen to you more. You can also borrow simple equipment, horses, and vehicles for temporary use. Also you can get into friendly military encampments/fortresses.

Trained: You are more likely to succeed in things involving survival skills, intimidation, and athletics

Divine Sense: You can open your awareness to the divine so that until the end of your next turn you know where any celestial, fiend, or undead creature within 50 ft of you is, also you can find any place/object that’s consecrated/desecrated within 50 ft of you.

Lay on Hands: Using your blessed touch you can heal living creatures by simply touching them. You have something called PP(Paladin Points). You can use as much PP as you want to heal 1 HP per PP used. You can’t use it on yourself and after you take a long rest you can heal once more. You can also heal a disease or poison by using 5 PP.

Languages:

Lingua: Most common tongue, spoken by most
Dwarvish: Language of Dwarves

History: Erin is a member of a small town's local guard. Erin was born ad raised in this town and decided that she wanted to protect the town she loved. Though not a lot ever happens because the town is in the middle of a forest, that's not on any good trade routes. So between training and patrols Erin spends her time reading in the towns Library, there may not be a lot of books, but according to the few merchants they're pretty rare. These books actually had the language of Dragons and Celestials, Erin heavily studied these languages before she joined the The Guard, now the studies are more light.
