Me and jokool used Dropbox to transfer the original server from his computer to mine after a test indicated that there would be a significant increase in performance by doing so. That file is still on Dropbox and now I'm adding the present version of the server to Dropbox so that jokool can attempt to run it on his computer.

If it runs and he can connect, then it's either a Minecraft issue on my computer or a networking problem.

If it doesn't run and/or he can't connect, then we're mostly screwed and will most likely have to start a new server as either Mojang has been screwed up or the server is corrupted.

BTW, the upload finished while I was typing this out.

Question, if this server is screwed up, should we try and save the world on it, or just start a new one?

Okay, can't connect. Did I have to adjust any settings so that it would work on my end, or does it not matter what IP it's coming from?

If it isn't my fault, here's a few things that may explain what happened???

Hence why I have no idea what's going on.....

I hate to restart when we've come so far, but I have been getting a bit annoyed with things on this server...

If we do start a new server, can we either recreate the Pit Stop on there and/or have our own houses (kind of like with the Achievement Hunters), or do a hardcore server and see how long we last?

The first one is the same it's been giving and that I've been ignoring. The second two are far more interesting. I only skimmed them, but try reinstalling java (make sure you delete all versions of java first), checking network settings (double check you're connecting via your own IP, not mine) and we'll go from there.

While we could probably save the world files, I personally would love to have a 1.8 world, if it's releasing in the next few weeks. Personally, I feel that the beginnings of a world is the really enjoyable part.

We could do both by swapping out the world files and settings/having two different servers and having Hardcore Friday or something like that. For the former, I would like to do it in survival for the most part if at all possible. Possible goal to help keep us occupied when we're not otherwise doing anything exciting.
