Most of you should have this down pretty well, but in case you're wondering, here's a list of the discussions and what they're used for.

The Water Cooler—Just your basic conversational thread. Just try to keep things coherent.
The Lava Cooler—If you've got anything you need to gripe, nag, complain, lament, bitch, or just generally talk negatively about, check in here! But remember: Keep personal user-to-user drama to yourself.
The Shipping Lane—Here you can talk about shipping—the act of wishing two or more (or even less) characters/people to be in a relationship. Doesn't matter what ships, fictional or forum-based, just talk about it here!
The Stage—This is where you can discuss media of any kind. Feel free to post music, talk about movies, just about anything media-related here!
The Sea of Japan—For discussion of Japanese culture, especially anime and manga. But besides that, you can talk video games, honorifics, art, anything you'd like, as long as it originates in Japan!
The Library—Talk literature here! ...Should be pretty obvious, but yeah! Feel free to share your own writings here as well.
The Cage—Engage in combat with other members! Please read the rules prior to starting your fight.
Mission Out-of-Control—Go off on not-so-top-secret missions! From exploring new dimensions, to ridding the sea of serpents, to annihilating the looming threat of a Giant Magikarp named Waldo, this is the place to be!
Random Ramblings—Anything goes here. Be cautious. Be incoherent. Be the brontosaurus.
