Browsing through Wikipedia, I came across new Transformers 4 info (and since I wanted to share it, but realized we didn't have a Transformers discussion, felt it was necessary to create this thread (let me know if you think of a better title for it)).

Just a quick recap of revealed info for anyone who doesn't know:

Michael Bay will be doing this film.

Actors who have signed on to be in this film so far are: Mark Wahlberg in the lead role, Nicola Peltz as Wahlber's character's daughter (she's best known for playing Katara in the live action Last Airbender film), Jack Reynor as Peltz character's race car driving boyfriend and co lead actor, Glenn Morshower (reprising his role from previous films), Tyrese Gibson (reprising his role from previous films), and Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime once again.

Filming will take place in Chicago (and London?) with a budget of $165 million.

Release date is June 27, 2014 and film will be in 3D.

Finally, (the newest info that really got my interest) the plot was revealed last week:

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

Note the ancient, powerful Transformer part (Unicron???).

That would sound like Unicron. Megatron has got to come back somehow and what better way than to follow the 80s movie and bring in Unicron.

Or Nova Prime, Jhiaxus, Liege Maximo, Galvatron (as a separate individual, a la IDW) Flame, Straxus, the Swarm... The list goes on.

After Ironhide's demise... Who will be SiC...?

Ah. I didn't know Ironhide held that position. Hmm.... maybe it will be another yet to be revealed Autobot? To sell more toys

If it's a previous Autobot, then I'd say either Ratchet, Roadbuster, or Sideswipe. :I

Ratchet and Bumblebee are the remaining Autobots from Prime's original team in the first movie, right?

Yes, but... Well, kids apparently don't like the idea of a high-ranked Bumblebee.

I wasn't hoping for Bumblebee to get anything higher than scout.

Yeah.

I want Roadbuster to be SiC.
