Okay here is my reasoning for Temmie:

Out of all the options so far, Temmie and GlaDos are the only two that actively pursue knowledge. The difference is how they do it. While yes, GlaDos is more professional, she is also less relatable, amoral, and kinda a jerk :V

Temmie might be more impulsive, but Tem does the very best Tem can do. Tem pursues knowledge through higher education and is the only one of them to actually go for it. Temmie shows resourcefulness by running a shop in order to pay for higher education. So far we have that unlike the others, Tem strives for self improvement through higher education and is willing to work for it.

The others just kinda had that intellect while Tem showed commitment, drive, determination, and the wisdom to know such improvement was needed. Tem is also more relatable as how many of us are going to/have gone to college? Most of us!

Some alternatives to consider, though: Slowking or Metagross.

Frontier Brains still sounds pretty cool to me. :B
