I haven't played XCX in, like, forever, because the tiny-ass text translates poorly to my projected screen

all the squinting I have to do when I'm accepting quests. Though it was harder back in Xenoblade when we had a smaller TV...

The trick to any boss fight is getting 6000TP and overdriving twice
one another note, if anyone is looking for collectables this site is extremely useful it's basically the Frontier Nav.

Re: The Xenoverse
I think I may have finally broke XCX anti-idle tactics. Warping to Anvil Rock in sylvalum and tapping my trigger up runs me straight in front of some lv 56s. They aggro and the camera sticks to them, meaning I run in circles around them. Getting killed seems to make the game think you're playing as I've made about 400,000 in the last 1.5-2 hours. I could make more if I bothered to utilize frontier nav properly.

They asked if we were feeling it during the Xenoblade 2 direct, and the answer is yes.

Re: The Xenoverse
I've been playing Xenogears on PS1 and highly enjoying it because it kinda blatantly feels like Evangelion: The Video Game (I even get to name my mechas "Unit-01", "Unit-02" and so on). For a long time now, Xenogears was the only game in the loosely-connected Xeno series I was interested in playing, but now that I'm enjoying Xenogears so much I was inspired to read about Xenoblade. In my mind, Xenoblade always came across to me as an overblown space opera with no real depth, but... I think I might be wrong. Hopefully I'll find a way to play it soon, cuz for the first time now I'm actually interested. Wish me luck in finding some way to experience it without ripping my wallet in half.

Re: The Xenoverse
So I got 2 last week. I'm on chapter [spoiltext]9[/spoiltext] and it's really fun. I do have some complaints though...
1. Normal enemies have WAY too much health later on, with ones on your level taking like 1-3 minutes to kill. It's not so much challenging as just a plain ol' fucking slog.
2. Rare Blades are almost too rare, and it's really hard to ensure you get exactly the one you want. I was trying for Floren today and it took roughly 80 tries to get him, and I got five other rare ones in the process, most of them on one Driver, which leads into my next problem.
3. Overdrive Protocols are also super unnecessarily rare. They're the only way to transfer a Blade to a new Driver in case you roll, say, a healer Blade on your powerhouse Driver. As far as I know, you can find three in chests, but afterwards the only way to get more is either through filling out a Driver's entire affinity chart, which probably isn't gonna happen till you're close to max level, and releasing a 4-star common Blade with a maxed affinity chart...and it's next to impossible to get a 4-star until super late-game.
4. The game constantly forces the protagonist, Rex, on you. There are several points where you're locked out of using anyone other than him, and later on he gets a bunch of exclusive stuff. This wouldn't be so bad if both his design and personality weren't BORING AS FUCK. I've seen his character done a thousand times in a thousand other mediums, and honestly I'm kinda sick of it.

Re: The Xenoverse
Heads up for everyone planning on getting 2, you may want to wait and get it with Christmas money or something. link
the way this was phrased makes it seem like you won't get "those" Blades if you made it past the intended recruitment point in the story before the patch. We'll see how it gets implemented though, 'cause there may be a chance you'll get them another way if you missed them? I dunno, just thought it worth mentioning. In your second playthrough, you will be able to have “those” Blades join your party!

Re: The Xenoverse
So I came back to playing after a while. I been playing the game on easy, which makes the fights go a lot faster, and makes the game way more enjoyable.
I've gotten a few rare blades, Perun who has the most confusing hint for her second affinity key. (I have to buy deeds? really?) and I'm holding off on using here til I get that unlocked, I also got Electra and Gorg.
Being able to skip awakenings is also a gift but I've skipped both Electra's and Grog's Awakenings that way. Good thing I can rewatch them though!
- game spoilers:
- I'm in chapter 4, and am right at the point where you leave Indol for the first time. I really want Zeke and Pandora to join my party already and like Morag She's a woping level 48 while everyone else is 42

not exactly. You have to do good deeds. There are people and places in towns with trophy icons above their heads who want stuff. iirc you have to help three of them to unlock it. There are two of them in Indol alone.Meyneth wrote:(I have to buy deeds? really?)
