Does the anime strictly follow all the rules though?

Mostly, the only thing that comes to mind is that some rules were not in place when the anime started so they are not there then. For example, clan fighting(only use one clan) came in later, so the anime doesn't fallow it until later.

You can't mix clans :O

Also yeah, what are legions? I assume you need two cards for them?

So Legions is two cards that go together, one is a Grade three known as the  Legion leader. The other is a (usually) a Grade 2 known as the legion mate.

Leader:

The Leader will tell you which card you will need to Legion, you will need the leader to be the Vanguard, and your opponent must also have a grade 3. you must have four cards in the Drop Zone. You declare that you are Legioning, and choose any four cards from your drop zone. You then put the four cards from your drop  zone into your deck and search your deck for the legion mate. once that is done you shuffle your deck. You are now legioned! The attack power of your Vanguard is now 20,000! There is also some abilities that activate when your vanguard is Legion, they will say "when your vanguard is legion".

Please note: Even though the attack power is 20,000 your Defense base would be the same as the larger base attack, if you have a 9,000 and 11,000 power with the mate and leader, the defense would be the leaders at 11,000.

Same thing with striding, If you have 15,000(G unit)+9,000/11,000 would take the higher number, so it would have base attack of 26,000.

Don't worry truth! Area has a replay, and you can record with that. I'm not sure if you can use it outside of the area though.

Oh BTW, based on my experience, Windows versions since at least 7 should be able to unzip zip files without the aid of external software. RAR files are a different story. I use a freeware program called RAR Extract Frog. Really simple, never had a problem.
