Good thing I'm in America then, right?

Though I do have some German blood in me  

German Engineering is perhaps the biggest lie to the American people ever successfully pulled off.

Part of that though might be because of our approach to maintenance. Check Engine light in Germany? CALL THE TOW TRUCK, THIS CAR CAN'T GO ANYWHERE EVEN THOUGH IT RUNS JUST FINE! Check Engine light in the US? Ignore it, it's probably nothing major and if it is I'll deal with it when inspection time comes around.

Hell even the quality of gas here and there is vastly different. We put some of the worst quality fuel into our vehicles here and many European models need substantial modifications to handle the garbage we dump in.

What are the factors that make the U.S. quality of fuel so low?

I don't, I guess it's because we're too cheap to refine it much further.

It's supposed to be one of the hardest majors in college (Aerospace Engineering). It'll be interesting to see how I fare in it because although I can easily self motivate myself, it's not something I'm 100% sure I'm interested in doing for the rest of my life.

That concerns me. As expensive as college as, if you're not certain what you want to do for the rest of your life, then maybe you should reconsider. Do you have any experience in CADD?

Well, my private school currently costs more than the college I will be attending, which is also much, much cheaper than most colleges in my area.

I feel like it would be that way for any major I chose.

I don't; however, having a cousin and uncle who are aerospace engineers, as well as a brother who is in college studying computer engineering, I know that's not a prerequisite (I'm sure it would come in handy though).

This is exactly the reason why I didn't consider going to college.
