Re: Mission Out-of-Control
Sorry, but somewhere along the way you guys lost me. So I'll just keep doing an engine overhaul.

Re: Mission Out-of-Control
Clearly you don't know the amount of work that goes into one :I
Got to first tear the engine apart and very carefully inspect everything. Then you got to order new parts (Oil Pump, Piston Rings, Bearings, Filters, Gaskets), send some parts off to be machined (Block, Heads, Camshaft, Crankshaft), and clean others (Block, Heads, and Pistons). Once all your parts are ready, you then have to carefully reassemble the engine.
An Inline 4 engine, which is about as small as they make them in cars, could be taken apart and put back together in a day without working on the individual parts, but then that's not a rebuild. However I'm not working on an I4, I'm working on a V20 so this takes some god damn time :I

Does it usually take ten days?

Re: Mission Out-of-Control
For an engine of this size, probably 15. That's assuming no problems are discovered while reassembling and testing. Right now I'm waiting the heads to come back so I can do the valves
