It's free for a few days. I noticed it was in my library yesterday, but didn't know why. Found out today that they've had it available for free until this weekend, so I thought I'd try it. Not a bad fighting game! And Valentine is pretty hot.

I would call it more of a demo than a rental because it's free.

Yeah, I was a bit baffled by it too, but apparently, they're just letting people try the full game for free. Not sure when it started, but it ends this weekend.

It's a pretty good fighting game. Seems like there's an interesting story to it as well. Not that many characters though, and the only character I really like all around is Valentine. The others are okay, but none of them really stand out too much, though, Parasoul is pretty hot, but I hate her fighting style and combos... Ms. Fortune was also okay, combat-wise anyway (she has some hilarious combos ).

The game is also on sale for $2.99 (80% off the regular $14.99 price) until June 8th (my birthday). It's slightly tempting for me to get it, but it's money that I really don't have... I mean, $3 for a game is a steal, but, it's still a splurge since it's a video game... For me, anything that's for entertainment only (video games, movies, music, etc.) I consider a splurge and feel guilty for getting since, for my family anyway, that's money we could use for something else more important....

My grandma always taught me that you should be grateful for what you have and never be selfish. I usually take that to heart and make do with the stuff I have (or try to get it for free because I'm a cheapskate ), but I have been known to splurge occasionally, though, most of the games and other stuff I own is stuff I've gotten as gifts from family and friends (most of it coming from my mom and grandma). Out of all the video games I own, I think I've only bought about 3 or 4 of them with my own money (and that money was usually birthday money). The most I've ever spent was like $40 for Mario Party 8 for the Wii (which was a dumb choice for me, but not a complete waste since it's one of the few games I actually play still for my Wii).

So yeah, didn't mean to turn that into a wall, but I don't like spending money on splurges (even though I like splurge items) when there's other stuff I could do with my money.

I'll admit/use it as a cop-out that I don't know everything about your situation, but since you have a job (and a job that you appear to be getting some profit from), wouldn't it be fine to splurge for the $3 game? At least as a bit of a birthday gift-ish-thing to yourself. Not that you should make a habit of it, but just $3 doesn't seem like it would hurt.

Just talked to my aunt who wanted ideas for what I'd like for my birthday. I threw out a few ideas, including a steam gift card, so maybe I can get it with that if she gets one.
