Re: Sin and Punishment - Persona 2 x 2
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I had an update...then I lost it...because of the damn backspace key. Fuck you, backspace, fuck you.
Anyway...
Anyway...
- Spoiler:
blah blah blah screwing around on a bike not working asshats stole parts
blah blah blah inverted portraits not good
blah blah blah asshat principal returning from the first Persona
blah blah blah guidance counseling
blah blah blah shit treasure
blah blah blah search for teacher
blah blah blah unthreatening rival
blah blah blah weird teacher
blah blah blah non-asshat character returning from Persona 1
blah blah blah choices
blah blah blah cold stoic protagonist
blah blah blah biased text boxperverted comment
blah blah blah stupid curse sarcastic remark
blah blah blah challenge letter.
Jesus, I want to kick the guy who thought "Backspace = Back" was a good idea in the balls.
I mean, it's not a problem until you get stuff that has you going between multiple windows and you have to type stuff in it.
I guess it's like you can save anywhere, but it's a Game Over if you die. You don't know when to save, and think that you'll be fine, but then one move and your balls are kicked. Boom, back to square one.
I'm also going to blame Forummotion for this, because it doesn't have a Auto-Save editor like, say, Bulbagarden.
Anyway, Lisa brings up a good point, and a persisting problem in SMT games. You often don't know where the hell you're going is, because it takes place in a city, which tends to blend together, and interactive buildings and non-interactive buildings aren't easily distinguishable. Persona 2 at least eases the pain a bit - or at least the PSP version of IS does - by letting you see location names with Square. (I think.)
Or maybe I'm the only one who has this problem.
But - I know I didn't explicitly say this because of all the blah blah blahing - you were the one worried about the curse. Wouldn't you have taken off the emblem - the cause of the curse?
Apparently missing this logic, Silver reluctantly allows Lisa to join him in his mission to punch things. In the mean time, we cut to -
- a fat girl being a pig.
...why would she have a nickname that means "nose bleed"? That would make more sense for Lisa, given that she's "the sexiest woman at Sevens", according to the introduction box.
*insert Yu-Gi-Oh hair joke here*
Are you saying fat people aren't normal?
So this is the guy who issued the challenge to Silver? This is Michelle? Looks like a punk. Can't wait to kick his ass in.
...Ka-sure-is-gay-ama would be a better mocking nickname, I think.
Despite being pretty irrelevant, he gets a portrait. Wonder why.
...wait, if she's Silver-bait, why is Michelle worried about her being his fan?
...so Michelle didn't know about it being Silver-bait. Weird.
...Michelle is his nickname and it doesn't show up in message box headers. This might not seem weird, but it does the same thing for every other character who has a nickname. It shows up in the actual messages, though, which can't be said about Silver's.
Suddenly, Lisa!
Also Silver, obviously.
The introbox was right!
I hope.
Womanizing is Serious Business. There's probably a manga or game with this concept.
What.
Funny story: I don't like American rap, but I like Mass Destruction, a rap from Japan. Maybe it's because Mass Destruction isn't just going on and on about how the rapper is awesome or filled with expletives? Dunno why I brought that up here.
Kinda harsh, man.
They're loyal enough to accept the punishment, though, which means Michelle must not be all that bad.
This house is made of lies! ...which makes sense, 'cuz it's a prison.
Hey, it was a noble cause! ...yes, getting a band together is a noble cause. Especially if you're trying to get a guitarist in. Which I think Silver is? Honestly, from what I played on the PSP version, I'd've thought Michelle was the guitarist and Silver was the vocalist.
Eh? What do you want now?
...so you want me to join your band?
Yes. Yes he does.
Waiwaiwaiwaiwaiwaiwait.
You wanted me - a recognized badass - to take someone named the Underpants Boss seriously.
His credibility as a threat decreases with each word that comes out of your mouth.
Welp, you've done it, Lisa. You pissed off Michelle. Nice.
Uh-oh, color inversion rears its ugly head aga - wait, Silver's message header refers to him as Shiruba! What was that nickname for?
It strikes Lisa, too! What is this madness?!
I'm guessing it has something to do with the glowy circle that appeared underneath Michelle. Nice job, Lisa.
I guess when I said color inversion isn't good, I really meant it. It makes up the battle transition.
Don't you mean Underpants?
Well shit.
"Well yeah but Grim Reaper is easier to say then Rhadamanthys"
I totally missed it, but Grimmy used a water spell on Lisa, which
causes her own...thing to appear.
Apparently Lisa didn't know she could summon an Eidolon.
Dialogue in battles is fully voiced. It doesn't make a lick of sense to me 'cause, y'know, the game is Japanese.
Why are you?
...I think "grim reaper" is mistranslated from "devil" or "demon", if only because calling Eros a "demon" makes a smidge more sense then calling him a grim reaper.
Stop being a creeper, someone!
.....?!
Whoa...you totally got the name wrong. It's Vulcanus, not Volcanus!
I'm going to give you three guesses as to what spell he's going to use is.
If you guessed a fire spell, congratulations! You aren't an idiot.
Everyone collapsed, though, so we're following a butterfly now.
Where?
Good question.
Here, I guess.
And I'm going to leave off here, if only because I'm sick of this update.
