You'll know there'll be a riot if my case pans out.

And right now we're outside of Mt. Moon walking around in circles without a clue what we want to do. It seems a third of the voices want a Bulbasaur, another third wants to press on, and the rest throw monkey wrenches at both plans.

Don't wanna really double post so close together, but as the commanding voices overwhelmingly keep pressing on into Mt. Moon (on the wrong path apparently), the more sensible voices are starting to spam something along the lines of "Charmeleon has lost to the same trainer 6 times now. The rest of the team sucks so bad they can't even beat the weakest mons in the cave. Go and train Poliwag so we can actually make some progress." in the chat. I was tempted to load that up with so many swears to help get across the emphasis these people are implying. They are also saying no progress has been made in the past 6 hours, something I agree with.

Right now Charmeleon is Lv. 33, Poliwag Jr. (Senior is still in the PC) is still Lv. 9, Kakuna has once again missed the opportunity to evolve and is Lv. 12. Pokédex is at 004/057/151. Town Map is presently considered a god or somethin.

Any idea where they were in the original playthrough right about now?

much farther do to it not becoming popular till they were at saffron city.
however, they do need to train some mon and beat some trainers in order to buy some balls.

And I must say some considerable progress has been made. Kakuna is now Lv. 13 and sadly still unevolved. Poliwag (not sure which) is now Lv. 15). We have Charizard at Lv. 39. New to the team is Mankey (Lv. 9), Magikarp (Lv. 5), and Onix (Lv. 22). Pokédex stands at 008/073/151


And we just lost to one of the trainers in Misty's gym, who had a Seadra.

After a long and epic (and still somewhat ongoing) struggle, Poliwag got deposited into the PC. As did Charizard. They did retrieve Krabby (Lv. 10) though. And just now retrieved the other Poliwag (Lv. 13). They also might have released something, but I don't know what as the stream is lagging too badly.

Pokédex is sitting at 010/073/151

they deplsitied both poliswags and charizard? also they originally depsisted the level 13 poliswag.

this is a reboot of the season 1 lore anyways.
also, dome was considered an opposing (but not evil) god to helix as of emerald and the randomized firered runs.

true, bill is seen as the ultimate evil up until his suicide in heartgold. to the point that ALL 3 fossil gods (since amber is the balancing act between helix and dome) begged for help in defeating bill's master plan in heartgold, and once his plan was defeated once and for all, he killed himself.
also, the bill suicide thing was predetermined BEFORE the run started.
