Fuck You Technology!!!

So it appears when I set up my antivirus's settings when I installed it, I mispelled my password and saved it. It's not a huge issue since I rarely touch those settings but still...

Yeah I have adware... the question now is where are the files causing it and how do I fix it...

Ugh, more computer problems. This time the down arrow key isn't responding. I hope it fixes itself in the morning.

Not fixed itself, I have scheduled an appointment to have the Geek Squad look at it later today. I'll probably have to go back to another laptop in the meantime. I probably won't see this one for a week and I will dearly miss it.

And I'm definitely getting a new mouse on my next payday... This one has just about had it... Left click is barely working half the time.

To this day the weirdest obnoxious advertisement I've come across was an infinitesimally-small pop-up tucked away in the corner that was playing the entirety of a Final Fantasy movie. It was just... playing the movie. That was it. I don't know if I'd even call it an "advertisement", it was just a pop-up, bam, Final Fantasy movie right there.

I bet the movie was just clickbait for a virus.

I wouldn't know, all of my computers end up shitting the bed for some reason or another. Now I'm in a mind set where I don't know if it's worth it to splurge on a really fancy computer, or to get a cheaper thing because they're all gonna spontaneously combust sooner or later.

Having recently purchased this nice laptop for $500, I'm willing to invest in it to repair it should something happen.

So I have just noticed that I have three laptops I'm very unlikely to use again... One doesn't turn on anymore, another has messed up graphics drivers, and the other one works, but is a slug.

I do have a coworker of mine that loves repairing computers and I'm thinking about giving him them. I've definitely been thinking about have him recover some of the data off the one with messed up graphics.

So I've had another malware attack on my computer. Thankfully it was neutralized immediately. I've had several attacks now in the past few months. Makes me glad I spent good money on a quality protection software.

I use Kaspersky Total Security. McAfee is something many computers come with. Many also choose Norton. I dislike both because of their popularity means that there are malware programs designed to work around them. Kaspersky is a lesser known system in the US because it's based in Russia.

I've also had success with the freeware AdwareBytes for removing stubborn infections. They also have a paid software that provides decent protection as well.
