So what did the hacking actually entail? And what else did you guys do while I was gone? How many galaxies did you blow up?

I successfully managed to seal off Hyperspace for a time. Also, we destroyed the Universe, but it came back, like, two posts later.

Also:

Moderators and administrators have their names in dark blue bold text. Our moderator is austereCartographer (who doesn't come on much anymore), and our administrators are Truthseeker4449, jokool, and Caprizant (Cap is also our fearless leader). Moderators can do all sorts of stuff in the forums with posts and such. Administrators can do all that, alongside access to the Admin Panel, which involves making changes to the site as a whole.

Just a quick heads-up: I'll be making several minor (and possibly major) changes to the forum soon. General goals that I have in mind include:

• Simplifying—e.g. better descriptions, less complicated rules/practices, etc.;
  
  
• User-friendliness, in particular for newcomers and lurkers;
  
  
• Better search-engine optimization;
  
  
• And in general, I'd like to put our forum out there a bit more, encourage new users and continued contribution, and create a better environment overall for community activity and user contribution.
  

So without all the marketing psychobabble: I want to make the forum simpler, attract new users, and create more forum-wide events than just the occasional anniversary and holiday theme. I'll be making a few changes on my own throughout the week, but I was hoping you guys could help me build up some ideas as well.

You know that little notification bar at the very tip top of the forum? Tack a (1) on to the Notifications label in the same text.
