Operation: Morbos

Two hours later, the group arrived at an odd, alien(as in "bizarre") structure. "This is the Index. Enter."

Andrew and Yuki follow, a little suspicious of Chaos's tone. Both had been in situations before in which unusual structures meant a ton of traps.

Lief followed the trio in.

The interior was vast--at least twice as wide as the exterior.  It consisted of a single room with a luminescent pillar in the center.  Each of the twelve walls was dominated by a large doorway that led outside...  But none of them were connected to the forest the group had been in a few seconds ago.  "The Index is the hub, the nexus...  It leads everywhere and nowhere.  But we need to go somewhere."

The pillar flickered for a second, then went out entirely.  Then the opposite wall ceased to exist.  No, it didn't disappear; The chamber had gone from a dodecagon to a hendecagon.  Then another wall folded away, and the process repeated until there were only three.  Then the wall on the group's right started getting smaller.

(I'm sorry if nobody understands this.)

Andrew's spiritual pressure increases slightly in response to the room's changes. "Odd place."

"Yeah..." Lief replied. "Kinda cool, though."

"I agree with you there, however that doesn't stop me from being apprehensive about if it's about to crush us."

The two remaining walls pressed together. The chamber was gone. The group was now standing in a doorway directly to the side of a mountain.

(assuming devi and walter are still following the group, just haven't said/done anything of note)

"Again again! This time make it have a bajillion walls and where'd the trees go?"

Lief whistled. "So this is like a teleporter?"

Andrew's spiritual pressure returns to the level it was before the room started changing. "It very well could be a teleporter."

"It is not a teleporter, but a spatial warping device. Regardless, we are here. Welcome to the Lava Cooler."

Lux 'looked' around before he began to talk, "Where's the lava? I wanted to roast marshmallows!"

Andrew looks at Chaos curiously. "What is the difference between a teleporter and a spatial warping device?"

 Before Chaos could open her mouth Lux began to explain, "A teleporter destroys your body and makes a new one elsewhere while spatial warping bends space without killing you silly, didn't you pay attention when you were an egg?"
