Operation: Morbos

Seeing what the orb did to the man, Lief quickly evaded it, then attempted to launch another flurry of punches at the monster.

"Hey Arc! You can do something, so help!"

Arcturus whimpered. "S-sorry... I'll just stay back here. I'd like to find out who I am before I die, thanks."

"Someone cover me!" The man begins casting one of his most powerful spells and is aiming for maximum strength. "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky."

Lief attempted to cover the man as best as he can.

"The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders."

(I could post the rest of the incantation now and end this, but I want the monster/Chaos to have a shot at stopping the spell)

The beast launched a beam of pressurized water entwined with one composed of the same violet energy at the man.

The man jumps to the side to dodge. "Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower."

The beast repeated the attack.

The man isn't happy that the little man isn't doing his job and can't get off a proper shot at the monster while under attack. "Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired."

The beast made no move to attack this time.

"Hadō #91, Senjū Kōten Taihō!"





(to the best of my knowledge, it's a plain old energy attack, just a really powerful one)

The beast gurgled in agony as its body evaporated until there was nothing left.

"...You won... I suppose I have to keep my word, don't I?"

The man quietly stands his ground, watching Chaos.

"Very well... But first..." The trench was flooded and overflowed, with the excess water--of which there was plenty--shaping itself into the form of buildings.

Then with a flash of light, the town had returned, pristine and intact. "...I invite you to stay the night. You must be worn out, right?"

The man stands there, dumbstruck. "Whaa..." He had not been expecting this at all.
