I wonder if the SDR2 anime will be coming out next year. I marathoned DR1 with my sister over the course of two days and she's interested enough to watch the sequel, but not if it's the actual game because that's too boring for her. weak :v That said, I look forward to some scenes being expanded upon, especially the last two trials.

Meanwhile, I'm still only 25 minutes into chapter 3 of DRAE/UDG.

Not plot related but if you're avoiding any and all spoilers don't click. This is probably my favorite lit-inspired conversation so far:

We also have Touko taking charge and standing up for herself more (I said this in RR but I'm liking her much more than what I can remember of her from 2 years ago when I was reading DR1), which is great. And I love Komaru in general. <3

Videos are usually 45min to an hour long, with the prologue being 1hr 14min.

I really like this person's video style. I've had experience with it before looking up FE13 support conversations (and their library is massive like holy shit, possibly the most comprehensive English one on YouTube), so I figured it'd be the same quality for DRAE and I was not disappointed. They show you the menu screen at the start of the game, and then they use their logo and a game's title screen to introduce each of their videos (which has nothing to really do with the quality of the game, I just like the unity it presents, very professional) They also cut out the save file screen so all you get is the 7 second ducky sound clip of Komaru on the practice potty (or "Omaru." It took me until chapter 3 to realize this was the pun Touko was making in the Japanese version because it doesn't translate to English at all, but they can't exactly change the save item to something else that would make more sense to English speakers. Regardless, the Monokuma ducky practice potty is my favorite save spot to date.) And last but not least, no spoilers from their thumbnails; they all have the chapter name and which part they are instead (again, I like the unity.)

The only complaint I have is that sometimes they'll show themselves fiddling around in the skills and truth bullet menu screens for like two minutes instead of cutting to when they've settled on the combinations they want to use. It's not a big deal the first time because it gives you a feel for the game's set up, but after that it's like "I don't really need to see this anymore." Really minor complaint though.

If you want the Japanese voices, I've been watching Valwin Mediaz's videos which use warusou's translations: DRAE Prologue Part 1
They start out as ~15min videos but then in Chapter 3 it switches to two 1hr 30min ones per chapter.

Both LPs are without commentary. Most of the time I watch the English one because I really like Komaru's, Nagisa's, and Touko's respective English voices, but if Byakuya, Makoto, or Nagito start talking I like to switch to the Japanese one to relisten to the conversation because I'm so used to and prefer their Japanese voices. And Jataro for the most part. I'm not sure if it's because I'm reading the subtitles and that makes it seem faster in Japanese, but in the English version his VA intentionally speaks really slowly which got on my nerves at first. As the game goes on it gets better/feels more natural though
