Yeah, the school building that they're digging through did have children and teachers inside when the tornado hit. They were in the hallway when the walls collapsed on them...

I just know that sooner or later we'll be getting tornadoes where I live.

I don't think there is a corner of the Earth safe from Tornadoes, but if one does come through your area, hide either under a sturdy object like a table or in a basement. Preferably first.

Also, remember that F4s and F5s are rare. I've had tornadoes in my area before, none of which have been too bad. Lost a few trees though and one also flipped a trailer at the Giant.

Actually got an interesting story about a tornado that happened, um, 10 years ago? The tornado was tearing up the trees along Loudoun County Parkway, then lifted into the air, went over the church in that area, and touched back down on the other side.

There's 50+ confirmed dead from this tornado, including many children from that school that was devastated......

I expect that the dead toll will double, if not triple, in the next 48 hours.

EDIT @ 7:30AM: It is now believed that the death toll is around 100

The official number of confirmed deaths has been reduced to 24, but that number is likely to change.

Give a week or so. The smell will lead you to the bodies. If that tornado really did cross over a major highway during rush hour, then there are some bodies that won't be found for some time.
