I don't think the Phoenix Down bit was a glitch, actually. Just an occupational hazard of being an undead boss.

~~way to kill the mood you edgelord~~ If it makes you feel better, back when I had a cat I remember her coming home with dead birds, snakes, and moles. I don't know why that would make you feel better, but... maybe just be reassured that your cat isn't climbing up trees and digging holes to randomly kill things like mine was.
