Personally I like Delphox's design, it looks simple but to me it captures the image of a mature Fox Witch that keeps her cool and is reserved in personality.

I think Delphox is creepy-looking. Bipedal canines are creepy to me for some reason. Which is weird because I think Braixen is adorable. I think it has to be the head-to-body-size ratio.

Maybe because Braixen is supposed to represent an adolescent and some small part of you finds her somewhat attractive because she's intended to be in your age group.

They're about as distantly related as you and I: they're in the same "species" of feelings, but otherwise aren't related at all.

You'd call a little girl adorable. You would not call her attractive.
