About a year ago I purchased Dragon Quest VIII from Amazon. I thought it was going to come out in 2016, and I had waited since I knew it existed for it to come out in the US. It wasn't meant to be, alas, and instead it's releasing January 20th. Rip me and all of that, right?

Nope!

Instead, Amazon's sending me a copy, and it's going to arrive at my mom's house December 29th, 2016. I don't think I'll get any pre-order bonuses - though those might have been GameStop exclusive, anyways - but who cares? It's a month early!

Screw you, 2016! I'm the one getting the last laugh, not you!

Two things, first it turns out that of the people who took the apprenticeship exam, I placed second in the overall rankings! And even though a spot doesn't open up for a few months, I will be able to attend training classes offered by my company!


And I finally took my iPod out of the rice today to power it up and see if I needed to get a new one. I don't! It survived the trip through the washing machine in low line mode and started playing where I had left off halfway through Butterfly!

I just found out that Tire Chains are legal to use in Virginia!

Looks like I've been able to get my PS4 controller to work with PC! So now I'll be able to play some of the games you guys bought me!
