Yeeeeeeeeeeeep! First time I've tried pixelart, and I hope it turns out well. I'll keep posting progress photos of it as I work on it. I wonder if you guys can guess what it is before it becomes apparent.

So the new world and server are off to a pretty good start!

But, out of curiosity, I decided to look up some info on Realms:

First, from the FAQ section:
Can I upload my Minecraft map onto Realms?
Yes, you can upload your own maps to realms.

Also, this discussion on the Minecraft forums also answered a question or two we've had.

I also learned from the wiki that there's a free 30 day trial to Realms, so I might look into that and see how that works.

Snazz and I are part of a Realm my brother got for us to use. It is nice being able to get on whenever but to be honest we don't use it all that much because we don't get on often at all anymore

But yes, Realms is nice based on my own experience.

That's the only problem I can think of: Would we use it that much if we did have it?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I hate having to pay a subscription for us to play together when we can do it ourselves, but it would make things soooooo much easier and more convenient.
