The map outta transfer just fine, the only concern is that the new generation may not be smooth, but I think we have enough building skills to overcome that. In any case, I haven't heard of new biomes, have you?

If there's no biome changes, then there won't a be change to the generator and the world should port over fine if we delete The End if we do generate one.

Well then, if you guys are up for it (and since most of you are probably snowed in), how about starting on our own city tomorrow?

Should we start a new world, or continue with the current one (if it still exists)?

...Wait, did we even finish what we were going to do in the other world?

The maps still exist, somehow not wiped out when my OS crashed and had to rewrite itself. Might as well make a new map, though what I'm debating is if I want to use a hosting service to make it more accessible around my schedule.

Well, Realms did have a price drop recently to $7.99 a month, which is still overpriced imo.

Also, I was going to try to make a server to see how well it would work (since our internet has been more cooperative lately), but I can't seem to get past the router log in, so I can't port forward...

I totally forgot about realms, I was thinking more of a third party company. I'm looking at BeastNode, which has good reviews and mod support for their 30 player and up servers. The 30 player servers (known as the spider plan) are 10 dollars a month.

After more thinking, because I don't know if the version of a hosted server would update automatically, I've elected not to use a server host at this time.

That's the problem I was thinking about...

Either way, I'm still not a big fan of having to pay $8, $10, or however much per month, but if you're for the idea, I'd definitely play on it. I will say that it would be fun to have our own server whenever we wanted it so that we can play without limitations or schedule conflicts.
