As per the deal, I sent Luxenlief my deck recipe, along with notes for the Xyz Monsters to tell when to summon them to capture the full Lief feel.

I was actually missed? And here I thought I was the unentertaining guy who got mostly ignored. I was busy doing other things when I remembered that this could've started

So now new Lief is even more like Lief with his decks?

A few more wins and I'll be able to live in his house

edit: since the recipe I got didn't have 40 cards I added my own touches to it and added one thing to the extra deck :V

Out of curiosity (and/or to keep the changes for my own) what changes did you make?

added more thunder seahorses and xyz tribalrivalries cause it seemed fitting :V

In case you were wondering, the final missing card is another copy of "Zoma the Spirit". I might switch it for "Xyz Tribalrivals", though. Might also switch the other Zoma for "Number Wall", seeing as how my Extra Deck has a nice amount of Number monsters.

Got a question, does the following effect target?

"Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it."

I want to say yes, but I'm not 100% certain.

Been looking at the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki and under the Target article is this

Effects that automatically choose what they are going to affect, like "Drillroid" usually do not target.

Drillroid's Effect wrote:Before damage calculation, if this card attacks a Defense Position monster: Destroy that monster.

So if my effect is usually activated as part of a chain, then it automatically chooses what it will affect and so does not target?

There's this really cool card called Gogogo Aristera & Dexia, which, if you Xyz Summon a monster using it and other Gogogo monsters, lets you switch an opponent's monster to Defense Position and rob it of its DEF. Great to destroy powerful monsters that I couldn't otherwise Xyz Summon my way around, especially since I already have some Gogogo presence in my Deck. The only downside is that it counts as the Xyz Monster's effect*, though I'm certain I can find ways around that.

Also it isn't on DN yet, which serves to make sad Liefs.

Continuing the trend of defictionalizing cards that were once anime-exclusive, it's The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode! Unique in that it has ? ATK and ? DEF, no way to calculate it, and doesn't get you the game instantly, you still have to offer up three monsters in order to summon it. However, a bonus exists in that you can offer up your opponent's monsters instead! It goes to their side of the field, but you get it on their End Phase.

But why would you want this worthless card? When uncalculated, ? ATK and ? DEF is just 0! Well, when you get control of Sphered Dragon of Ra, you can offer it up as a Tribute and Summon the true Winged Dragon of Ra! Due to Sphere's effect, WDoR will have 4000 ATK and DEF; a respectable amount of ATK considering that you only have to offer up 1 monster. Plus you can nuke up to seven monsters on the field with WDoR's effect.
