it's probably my fault for making my paragraphs too long, but I don't want to cut out information that could be important. But now I find research on the how Cuba's colonlization effected the people, which I cannot find for my life and I have to counterclaim, which will be hard because I'm not sure what postive things really came from Cuba being colonized, and this could take me all day, but there are thing I'd like to do today!!

Well a glance at Wikipedia reveals the usual effects of Smallpox and Measles. Also something about Encomienda and later coartacion, the latter perhaps a good thing.

Also apparently coming an urbanized society that supported Spain is said to be a very important thing.

Apparently something occurred in the colonization that kept Cuba loyal to Spain while the rest of Latin America revolted.

I'll have to check Wikipedia out again to see if there are any more details in order to make a paragraph.

They may not have been able to revolt because they couldn't get weapons easily, that and America wasn't for Cuba become independent at first, so It'd sell Spain weapons and technology, but not any rebellious groups in Cuba, so that could be a factor...
