also for me:
no infantile amnesia: romch has vivid memories of IRL events from when he was 2/3 years old.
and for the pit stop in general:
they changed it, now it sucks: mostly everyone's reaction to caprizant wanting the forum to be more mainstream.

I don't recall Caprizant ever once saying he wanted our forum to be a mainstream forum. Instead I recall something along the lines of "intergalactic pub for friends"

you have to read the introduce yourself thread again.
it includes a quote from the announcement thread about that.

IIIIIIIIIIII think it would be better to leave it out, because a) that's most certainly not his intention anyways, and b) the  attempts to mainstream  haven't been negatively received.

they were by TS and abba not wanting new users.

But that is a more personal thing. Like growing up and realizing the distance between long friends. Having new members can make the forum feel less like a little hangout group just as when your irl circle of friends grows wider, it feels less close.

which matches what caused you to add it in the first place, me having poor memory :B

That said, I'm fairly certain this whole "forum vs. friend circle" thing is becoming more of a thing than it really needs to be. It's probably best to just call it quits on that discussion.
