The only berry that reduces damage even if the attack isn't super effective is the Chilan Berry, which reduces the damage of a Normal-type attack. I shouldn't have to explain to you why this is.

I wonder if they'll ever do a type that's weak to normal type attacks?

Probably not. Normal's supposed to be pretty much the non-elemental attack of other RPGs, except you get it at the beginning of the game and there are things that resist and No Sell it.

Kinda like Almighty attacks in SMT...

They could make an abnormal type. :P
