Pfft, I wish. What do virus writers even get out of it? I can understand if you're just like trying to steal someone's identity, that's no big deal, but what about the punks who write viruses just to ruin someone's day? What's up with that?

Forgot to mention this the other day, and I just thought about it again: my Wii is currently boxed up and done for. The controllers stopped working for my uncle who has been using it for the internet and YouTube channels (which is about the only thing my Wii was good for anymore).

So now, I'm officially stuck in the 6th console generation with my PS2 being my "newest" TV gaming console (not counting handhelds).

Huh... So I've hit a small dilemma with my headset... You see, this computer comes with separate jacks for the speakers and microphone, so when I plug it into the speaker port, I can't use the mic. However, when I plugged it into the mic port just now and did a test, nothing happened...

I'll have to look into whether or not I can resolve this tomorrow, but for now, voice chat options are a no go for me currently...

Dig around in the settings, perhaps you can find something to enable mic communication on the headphone channel.

...Google Play Music...why won't you upload my music?

Since I have a disc drive again, I'm trying to add my CD collection to Play Music, but for some reason, it keeps giving me an error when I try to upload anything... I've tried disabling my anti-virus software thinking that was causing issues, but it's still giving me errors...

Been struggling to set up my family's new router and finally two hours later, it's working. Verizon's self-help stuff sucks, best way to do anything is to call them and clearly shout "Agent" into the mic as soon as the electronic answering program allows you.

On the bright side, my laptop is new enough to fall on the 5G side of this dual-band router, which hopefully means twice as fast internet.

Welp, my phone is officially ded. I couldn't get it to charge this morning before going to work, and it died on me while I was at work.

Got home to try and fix it, and...yeah, nothing.

...also, the battery is apparently built into the damn thing, so I can't pop it out and put it back in to see if that works.

Eh, I guess I never really needed a phone to begin with. Never got a good signal with it, so I never actually got to use it much as a phone. It was constantly giving me something to get frustrated over, from the headphone issues I've mentioned earlier, to heating up in my pocket and causing me to worry if it was going to go BOOM...

...what's really frustrating is that my uncle just gave me a $50 "Re-Boost" to pay for my next month of service, plus some. Might see if I can use the $50 for music or something before it takes it away from me...

Welp despite a fresh battery, my phone apparently no longer wants to live and battery life is now less than 12 hours. And last night it turned itself off and I missed the alarm yet again because of it. I was just thinking finally going back to the Verizon store and buying a smart phone, until it just occurred to me that it too probably won't last much longer than a day.

*starts talking to irl friends, most of whom have smart phones*

Fuck, Paladins keeps booting me out of games or just crashing when I try to play a match. Got in on a stream game just now, and game just froze up as I was loading in. Managed to get back in on the second half, but the game froze up again after the match was over...

Finally done with my tax return, except the damn thing won't file because it doesn't think my internet connection is secure enough.

My phone might drive me nuts tonight. I downloaded the dedicated app for my e-mail and my phone has been beeping most of the afternoon. The general e-mail app really only buzzed for a split second and shut up. The alert for this is more audible and noticable, it's also instant the moment it arrives in my inbox.

Have you checked the settings? And what kind of phone do you have? I know that on Iphone the mail app let's you choose how often it updates or if you want to check manually.

It's a LG K8V. I'm sure there's settings somewhere in the app. I just have to take time to look it.
