Before Awakening doesn't give you any EXP. I've played it.

Ghoul Camp gives you EXP, but you have to pay for it.

I should stop making assumptions, I watched Mey start it and for some reason I didn't even notice that there was no EXP gain Doink!

Conquest also has more complex objectives than just "rout the enemy" or "defeat the boss." The maps are also generally more gimmicky.

I paired Silas with Kagero on Revelation, so there's a suggestion.

Unrelated Ghostly Gold and Museum Melee came out today.

Ghostly Gold, at least at the Endgame, is capable of generating a very good amount of gold loot.

I love it.

I'm finally making progress on conquest again.
problem is that I only have 2 children.
also if I do a LP of fire emblem 12, be warned I will do it on my phone and WILL use action replay cheats the emulator found for me.

Action Replay Cheats = no go

Children aren't really as good as they were in Awakening. The most they bring to the table is another personal skill, which varies in effectiveness (Sophie's and Kana's, for example, are niceish, Shigure's is more middle of the road, Midori's is pretty bad on Nohr, but at least still usable, while Dwyer's is garbage for the main game, no two ways about it.)

That would be appreciated, at least for me and my crusty-old-man preferences :U

Two other, unrelated things:
1) I finally managed to use Lunge in a good way, using it to break a hole in enemy formation so Peri could beat a weaker enemy (on the EXP map :U)
2) Who let Odin and Ophelia's A-Support be so touching it's not right ;_;

re: Nohr classes, there's an entire one skill that uses Luck to determine its rate of success.

Hoshidan classes give a higher array of skills, but AFAIK only one of them (Profiteer) can be gotten without skill purchasing or Avatar Marriage shenanigans - and the best skill, Dragon Ward, can only be bought.
