*wakes up this morning with on hell of a hangover*

I knew that was a bad idea.

at least I wasn't there for MOST of it...

*managed to reinstall a caliper all myself today*

Putting it on was complicated by the fact the mounting spot for the caliper's bracket meant I had to hold the caliper itself close to my maximum reach (while being mindful of the hydraulic hose to the caliper as that usually isn't disconnected unless the caliper must be completely taken off the car for service and in this case the caliper wasn't being serviced, though the pads were removed to check for wear, it was just in the way because we needed to remove the rotor to check the lateral runout of the hub) and I had to stand on my toes at times to get the holes aligned right and put the screws in. Damn thing is heavy too...

A little fact to combine the genius of octopuses (octopi? octopode?) with the deadliness of the Portuguese Man-Of-War being able to sting after it dies - is that some octopuses have been known to pull the stinging tentacles off dead Portuguese Man-Of-War, and use them as weapons - like deadly stinging whips.
