*shrugs* I think like 15 bucks.jokool wrote:Lief Katano wrote:Only incorperating the Active Time Battle system (TM), along with any other changes you want to make to the engine is confusing. Actually making the game is easy.
It does cost money if you want to use it for more then 30 days. (I think that's how long the trial period is.)
And no, it doesn't take up a lot of space in the computer (I think).
Dammit.... I imagine it takes longer than 30 days to make a game.....
Out of curiosity, how much does it cost?
Can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's not Java.Truthseeker4449 wrote:What does the code look like? If it's Java, I am decently familiar with that.
That reminds me, I should start the first part of my AP Computer Science Summer Assignment.

And I am now trying to play OFF...and failing, because my mom's laptop's computer is deciding to be a jackass.

Okay snag #1
The external drive my mom has is a CD ROM drive, Railworks requires a DVD ROM.

Yeah, that is a problem....
Speaking of external drives, I wonder if investing in one is a good idea. I'd like to play the copy of Star Wars: Empire at War I have, but my disc drive on this computer doesn't seem to work anymore because every time I put a disc in it, it never does anything....
Although, knowing this computer, Star Wars would probably cause it to have a nervous breakdown...

Yep, they're completely free. Tried to use RPG Maker 2003 (which, apparently, is the one that OFF was made on).
I think my mom's laptop hates me.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
I have returned with a LG DVD Writer that cost me $56
Interesting thing about my copy of Railworks, my box lists 3 routes not on the current steam version. It says it has Sherman Hill, Cajon Pass, Great Western Mainline, and Isle of Wright. This should be interesting.
*returns to the installation*

Really!? I might try that one out then since it's free!

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
The installation is going well so far, currently have Steam installed and Steam is downloading Railworks 4. Now I understand why there was only 1 disc instead of 3, the program is actually downloaded first, not installed straight from the disc.
The drive sounds like a jet engine.

I am driving a steam loco
The game is a little laggy, but tolerable. Though that means I won't be able to record it. It does come with it's own screen shot button.
