Re: The Crystal Room
Where does Tactics fit in? I saw they had the GBA version of it on Vizzed and since I had the PS version of that, but never played it, I thought I might try that one sometime.

Re: The Crystal Room
Tactics...ah, I forgot about Tactics. Chronologically, it takes place after XII and Tactics A2 (which, despite the name, is for the DS). It's not a real sequel, though (at least by the token that none of the characters from the previous two ((save Luso in the PSP remake)) and you don't need to have learned the plot for the previous ones to know what the hell is going on).
Tactics Advance is only related to Tactics (PSX) by the token that their main characters look similar and use the same battle system. They're pretty different otherwise.

Re: The Crystal Room
Ah, okay. Thanks.
I might try out the first one just to see what it's like, then move onto one of the later ones.

Re: The Crystal Room
The first notable one. I think it made some before, but they lack Mario or Final Fantasy so they don't matter.

Re: The Crystal Room
NES was released in Japan in 1983 (30 years ago), 1985 in the US.
FF1 was released in Japan for that system in 1987.
Checked Wikipedia.

Re: The Crystal Room
So Final Fantasy is about 28 years old, give or take.

Re: The Crystal Room
Much better than what I was expecting. SNES looks better than Advanced. What about the earlier versions?
