This was a very successful night! That was 4 straight wins for me and jokool! And two for Lief!

And while playing I realized some things that me and jokool know that the rest of you may not.

Starting with Tyra, a popular damage option. She has a AK-47 looking thing with a grenade launcher. She can and will hit from a far, though does much more damage close in. More worrysome though is her Fire Bomb. She can throw this very far and it's very common for her to target front lines with it because they have trouble getting out of the fire. The pool of fire the bomb burns for 9% of Max HP every 0.6 seconds and the pool will last for 6 seconds. It will quickly kill many champions if they do not get out of it. Her ultimate lets her deal 40% more damage and move 40% quicker with unlimited ammo. Tyra can also mark enemies and deal more damage against them and also get to see their position behind cover.

Next is Skye, again a popular choice. Skye has the ability to become invisible until she strikes for 3.5 seconds. Although she's not a heavy hitter, she will usually open with Poison Bolts, which deals 10% of max HP over 5 seconds. It also increases Skye's damage by 5%. Her ultimate is a time bomb and is usually identified by her saying "Time's Ticking." It breaks all shields and deals 3000 damage unless you either get away from it, or break line of sight with it. It's often deployed at the payload and can be easily avoided by running to the other side of the payload.

I'm sure by this point we're familiar with what Maeve's ultimate does and her abilities. However what not everyone has yet realized is that she's a very noisy character, unlike Skye. When she enters Prowl (her dash), she produces a clearly audible running sound. Her knifes are also noisy, I think more so than say Viktor's gun. You can also sometimes hear her running around outside of prowl (largely as a clinking of knifes). Use this to anticipate her and when all else fails, jump like mad side to side and use dash abilities at her to throw her off as she's probably about to Pounce (dash and hurt) you.

Makoa, the turtle Front Line. He's not a strong attacker, where he excels is ripping people from their positions and placing them in front of him to let the team take shots. Done right with teamwork, it's very deadly. He also puts up a shield, but the weakness in his shield is that he's completely defenseless and moves somewhat slowly. It's not much trouble to step into the shield space and lay waste to him.

Kinessa, the damage sniper. Does exactly what a sniper should do. If you get hit, consider boardcasting her position during the death screen so the flankers can go after her.

This one applies both Barik, a somewhat squishy front line, and Grohk, a support. Both love to set down stationary deployables. Grohk's only heal, while Barik's also deal damage while healing him. Prioritize these deployables, destroying them shuts down healing, damage, and even shielding.

Two things: One is about Barik's turrets. I think they only heal him if you have the card for it in your build. The other is about Makoa and his anchor. Players who are more experienced with Makoa will sometimes spin around when they grab you with the anchor to put you in a more vulnerable position (like in the middle of their team). I know I tend to do that now after seeing some of the streamers I watch do it.

funfact about Pip. I have no range damage decay :D

That means a potion at point blank and a potion across the room will do the same damage. 600 a direct hit, 200 splash.

During Weightless Pips only get a boost when jumping, not when running, which is why you can expect competent Pips to jump a lot. sadly I'm not competent with weightless yet

other team pushed past us much faster ;w;

note to self: STOP GETTING SEPARATED AND DON'T RUSH INTO BATTLE. YOU AREN'T A FRONT LINER, SO USE YOUR SUPPORTS MIDRANGE!

Perhaps you should try a game as a damage class?

I still have only two games of experience of support, but while playing Mal'Dumba I found it more effective to focus on healing and attacking the surrounding enemies only after nearby players had been restored, especially the front lines. Now Mal'Dumba has a very limited attacking range so that factors heavily in that.

You just have to log in, but if that's an issue, well then getting crystal is going to be a problem for you. Gold is fairly easy to come by, though it doesn't usually come in huge amounts.

All you have to do is literally start up the game, claim your bonus, then exit out. Takes only a few minutes at most. Only issue is if you don't have access to a computer every day.
