Still waiting on a response back from support. I did notice that Paladins runs decently and the simpler stages and fighting style may allow me to record it.

So I loaded up Paladins and configured stuff to try recording. I was intending to try training with Skye to become more familiar with her. Only this lobby thing popped up immediately and not sure what I should do, and already recording, I accepted.

Turns out I had entered my first public lobby. Well I tend to learn best by doing rather than listening so trial by fire it was.

It starts out a little choppy, but smooths out a lot after a few minutes:

I mentioned this in chat earlier, but when you first start out, no matter what gamemode you pick, your teammates are real people, but you're up against ai opponents. This is until you hit level 5(?), then you get to go up against real opponents after that (you can still do practice matches against ai afterwards). Another thing is that once you hit a certain level (12?), you will stop getting gold and exp in matches that have AI in them.

As for your gameplay, I'm noticing a few things right away. One is that you didn't buy any items, and items are very important to help you stay alive longer and/or kill faster.

Second, it definitely seems like aiming with a controller is not as easy as a mouse is, but it looks like you were getting the hang of things with your settings later on.

Third, and probably the biggest thing I saw, you're playing Skye like she's a damage champion. Flanks are usually best lurking away from the main combat in the side areas and trying to get behind the enemy for quick and easy kills. They feature abilities that can quickly and easily get them into position and/or save them if they do get in trouble, from quick dashes and jumps, to stealth and high movement speed, but have less health than most champions to counter that.

I also noticed that you didn't use your secondary fire much (if at all). For Skye, her secondary fire is her poison darts which really helps her do more damage since they reduce healing. You also seemed to be using her smoke bombs as grenades, and, while aiming them at your opponents does blind them, it doesn't do any damage to them (I think). Skye does go into stealth if she enters her smoke bomb cloud.

Most people play Skye like this: Hide, stealth, find someone, attack, stealth, ult (when ready) in the middle of where everyone is (her ult is a time bomb that will kill almost everyone in it's range), stealth away.

Overall, I highly recommend trying Viktor for now. He's a damage champion with an assault rifle and grenades, which seems like it'd be your thing. Once you've got the hang of the game, then it should go better when you try out the other champions and classes.

Oh, I may have mentioned this before, but if you use my referral link and play, I get rewards. Coy Cat

Two of those rewards are a cool skin for Pip: Mad Scientist. If I get to play 10 hours with you guys in a party, I get the outfit. If 3 of you reach level 15 in game, I get the weapon. The other rewards are in game gold and gems.

I just bought a mouse! It kinda grates against my new lap table, but I'll solve that before long. Hopefully this helps with my aim

So, I've made a name for myself on the Paladins Twitch channel...but not in a good way it seems... I've been playing more games with the streamers on there, and my lack of skills is starting to show... This maybe my biggest flop yet: And yes, I was Fernando...

Maeve's voice is so much fun!

"What doesn't kill me should stop running from me"

"Do you have some string?"

"Gotta Hide, Gotta Hide, Gotta Hide"

For those who haven't heard her voice, she has a thick French accent.

Her voice alone is well worth the gold.

I remember him better by his "NOT THE FACE!" line I often hear at the shooting range where he's a target for an autofire bot.

Apparently there's an update out, at least for the launcher.

With Six Flank Kills in my last game, I think I'm starting to get Maeve down:
