From what I read about it, it's not that hard to find shinies in US/UM with the method he's using.

...I should probably stay away from US/UM for that reason alone. I already have a full box of shiny Pokémon, and I don't have any room for more Pokémon (yes, I know bank is a thing, but I like to keep all my Pokémon on my current main game).

To be fair, there's only 20 Shinies you can get this way.  

And now I have six of them.  I'm not gonna bother to take a picture, but it's a Swellow.  No, not "but."  BECAUSE it's a Swellow.  It's meh.

EDIT: Make it seven, found an Abomasnow too.

20 is 2/3 of a PC box tho...

You'd be really lucky to find all 20 tho...

And, if you have a living dex or something close, then you're not gonna get much use out of the feature anyways, 'cause all it's good for are Shinies, Legendaries, and infinite Ultra Beasts.
