Spring 18:
I awoke and jumped out of bed...and instantly sneezed! Crud, a cold. Seeing as a cold has knocked me silly countless times I got Wally and went to the infirmary where I found Lara and had her cure me. I also bought some cold medicine...just in case.

From there I tended to my crops which took sooooo loooooong. I need helpers, or a better watering style. With that done I told Cinnamon about the Crown Constellation I saw, and she told me that there was a legend about how a king placed his crown in the heavens to honor his deceased queen. I'm not crying, that's just water from the watering can!

With that done I ran around doing things and talking to people...who all said nothing of note! Except Eunice, again, who told me that she now felt confident she could befriend anybody as the more she talked with them, the closer they got. Perhaps I should try that out.

I then visited Rosetta at Materia where she was staring at a bowl of soup. I asked what was going on and she said it was a gift from a client but she didn't trust it, thus she offered it to me. I figured why not and chugged it down, and felt my mind become clearer as my intellect increased by a small amount.....did I write that?

After a bath, I fished for a while and then climbed up to Lagga where the buffalo cows surrounded Wally and began to beat him to a pulp. I blasted some with fireballs, and hey directed their attention to me. We both ran and I watered the Moondrops and wondered how much longer it would take for them to bloom. Once that was done I returned to Trampoli and went to the library. Selphy told me she had gotten a book on constellations and left it on a shelf, so I began reading so many books, from how to cook (apparently the first step is getting in the kitchen!), some weapons info, more on runes and runeys, and more adventures of Arthur, this time where he lamented not having a hammer to get food from a tree.

After so much reading, I gave up on finding the book on constellations and went home to sleep.

here's the update I owe yous :T

Spring 19:
Woke up and watered my fields and remembered no Lagga today so the Moondrops would have to wait for later. Instead I cleaned up my field a bit more and then read some books at the library, finally finding the book on constellations. The information was nothing I didn't know before, but it was nice to see Selphy doing her best to keep new books in stock. While there I bought a few books on medicine, and then found Lute. I bought a laboratory kit from him, and went home to make my own medicine!

I found out that most of the ingredients needed where strange plants I had found in front of my house before, meaning that there might be a use for them after all. Except weeds, they were only good for eating. Once that was done...I kinda had nothing more to do so I sat at the public square and stared at the sky until the sunlight blinded me and the bathhouse was open. I ran into the water, paying Melody, and sat there, not noticing Turner was there. Perhaps if I had seen him I would have expected it, but I heard Eunice's voice.

"Mom, let me wash your back for you."
"Why thank you.....why are you so quiet all of a sudden?"
"I just thought that you had really nice skin..."
"Oh come on, you're younger than me. Of course you look better. You need to have more confidence in yourself!"

I couldn't stop my mind. I began to mentally compare Rita and Eunice in my head, first clothed...then.......

I over heated.

I wandered out of the bath dizzily and then heard a voice before I went through a door. I looked at the source and saw Rita. She told me that I was about to go into the women's bath, and asked if the hot water had steamed my brain. I heard Turner say I was beginning to get him mad, and honestly, I think the water did do something to my head ;o;

Thus I ran home and cooked some food, grabbed my weapons and Wally, and charged into the Green Ruins. Like always, I'd clear my mind in battle, but this time with something big...the griffon!

The battle was long and hard, both of us taking heavy damage. I healed, and then shot fireballs. As I did that, Wally distracted it. Soon the griffon began to glow a bright red, and charged at Wally, hitting him over and over, until I heard Wally's pained scream before he collapsed. I shouted out his name as I used all my strength to release a blast of flame, defeating the griffon.

I searched for Wally's body, but couldn't find it, instead I only found gems in the griffon's nest. I took the loot and let my mind wander. Was taking Wally with me really the best choice? I entered the barn, and was shocked to see Wally there. It seemed he had learned the warp spell from me and had run away at the last second. I hugged him before putting my loot in the shipping bin and cleaning up my field some. It was a long battle, I think we both deserved to head to bed early...

Spoiler:
Another rainy day, thus I kinda have nothing to do so I waited for Annette and got a letter! Two actually! One was from Ganesha saying she has more goods! The other...from Selphy saying she hasn't eaten in 3 days and needs bamboo rice! I thus ran inside and made some, and handed it over to Annette who would deliver it. Curious, and bored, I followed her and saw that Mist gets letters in other languages? Confused, and perhaps a little worried, I ended up going my own way.

I went to Ganesha's shop and saw she had level three elemental crystals now, I should remember that so that I can get some in case I want to forge magic weapons. I also found Candy and Marco there. Candy said that she had been invited to lunch and that Ganesha cooked pretty good, to Marco's surprise. Apparently Marco thought his mom could barely get housework done. Candy's response was how Kanno and Cinnamon could barely cook. I hid a smirk as Marco told her she wasn't used to good examples.

I visited Cinnamon who said she liked to read indoors on rainy days, and I actually couldn't find anybody else. Odd.

Either way, I cleaned up the fields, took a bath, then went to Lagga, where I got lots of medicinal herbs and special grass for making medicine. Then I found the Moondrops in bloom.

But that's not all I found:

She said she wasn't expecting guests, and said I was welcome to come by whenever. She told me her name...

Iris:

I took this chance to ask about a locked gate I had seen past the wolves, and she told me that since she never ventures too far, she doesn't know much about it, but perhaps one day it'll be open. I spent hours out there, talking to her, until I realized how late it was, past midnight, and ran home to sleep. I think I'll visit her again tomorrow.

Spring 21:
Woke up around 8, missed Annette, bleh. Well, went to my mailbox and found a letter from Selphy where she called me a lifesaver...and she admitted she probably would have gotten food faster by going to Snowstyles or someone's house so lesson learned there...right?

I watered my field and went to talk with people. I couldn't find anything new to read in the library, and Kanno told me that since ancient magic was his specialty he can decode ancient writings. I bought some seeds at Danny's, and told Rosetta that the moondrops looked amazing, but due to the monsters, it would be dangerous to go there. I also ran into Eunice who told me that she had made her own outfit, after all, she could sew. She even offered to sew my clothes if they ripped. I then talked with Kross about building a bigger forge and he gave me the prices, and the materials needed...240 lumber and 20000 G. I now have my goal, hopefully I can hit it before holiday and thus have a better forge!

I thus went up to Lagga to begin my looting! Once there, Lagga spoke to me again and said my adventures were going well. It then asked me to visit it at it's place since it liked visitors, so I told it that it could call me whenever it wanted. From there I got to looting until I made it to Iris' house, and found I was able to enter. I found her painting and we spoke for a bit before I went to check on the gate...and was swarmed by wolves....and woke up in the infirmary. Maybe today will go better?

spring 22:
No time to waste! I watered my crops, grabbed Wally, and went to do my usual rounds! I found Selphy at the usual place and she told me she was thinking of writing books since all she could do right now was read them. Then I found Cinnamon who I finally told was very to the point. Her response was that it was a pain to talk. Annette was at Erik's house, and told me she heard there was a beast in the Green Ruins who laid giant eggs and that they might be delicious if eaten....Should I tell her?

I bought some strawberry seeds after Erik told me that seasons don't change in ruins and planted them in the Green Ruins. I then got to work chopping up stumps to get lumber. When Rosetta came, she told me that one day she had made arrangements for her and Mist to go flower viewing, but when Mist never showed she found her sleeping. She couldn't bring herself to wake her since she was sleeping so peacefully and we both had a good laugh about how Mist-like that was.

When she was gone, I went up to Lagga to visit Iris, and loot while I was there. On my way to her house, I managed to make a new friend out of one of the cows, which are apparently called Buffamoos? Either way, mine was named Momo and waited for me at the barn :D

Iris didn't really say anything too interesting so I went home and chopped more lumber. At the end of the day, I have 200 lumber, but only 6500 G. Gonna take some big treasures to boost my money count in time for holiday, but I think I can make it!

Spring 22:
I found a new system for watering my crops! Crops that are ready to harvest don't need watering, so in order to save time I only water the areas of feed that I harvested. That way I can harvest feed when I need it, and not waste time and energy watering! With this new system, I finished watering quickly, and got to chopping wood. When I finished, Annette ran past so I followed, and learned that Mist puts odd stuff in her mailbox. I wish Annette had let me see...

I also learned that someone has a crush on Annette~ You should have seen how Danny looked at her! I spoke with him a bit, and learned he's depressed, as he hasn't had any customers since Materia opened...wait don't I count?! Uzuki was also around the area and said I was quite good with a blade, but she was better as she trained with her spear daily. I'll show her one day! Maybe...

From there I went home and cleared more stumps, then went to the lake where I found Lute and encouraged him to keep painting. Once that was done, I went to the Green Ruins and tended to my crops there, clearing up more space. I then took a bath and went to Lagga. I spoke to Iris, and got more minerals before going home and calling it a night....almost.

I still had some energy left so I made a new sword, enchanting it with a water crystal, an aquablade! I can't wait to try it out! I also made more medicine, and cooked enough meals for a few days! Now I sleep!

Spring 23:
Woke up and got to work! Chopped a stump apart and got enough lumber, but now the hard part, the money. I wasted no time and got Wally then entered the Green Ruins and tried to get as much stuff as I could. At 5 I sold it all to Rosetta...and now I have 10000G...just halfway there and I need to get it by the end of tomorrow!

I went to Snowstyles to try to come up with a plan, to no avail so I visited Iris, who told me that some days she can see the horizon extend forever, on cloudy days it's like she's sailing on a sea of clouds and that she sketches both scenes often. I then went home and made as much medicine as I could, though it wouldn't sell for much, then called it a night...

Not much happens when you focus on adventuring ;-;

Re: Rune Factory Frontier Journal! - Spring 30

Post by Awoopon on 26th September 2015, 11:25 pm

apparently I wrote spring 22 twice :V

Spring 25:
LETS. DO. THIS. 10000 IN ONE DAY!

I watered my crops and got to work harvesting turnips and cooking them, raising the value by a bunch. I threw them in the shipping bin and then got wool from Wally (he made an adorable sneeze!) and milk from Momo. I tried to knit something with the wool...but I kinda suck and couldn't figure out how to do that...I should read a book...

I decided to see how far off I was from my goal by asking Kross so I talked to him...and found out he was busy and couldn't help with my house today! That means....I DID ALL THAT WORK FOR NOTHING! I COULDN'T UPGRADE MY HOUSE ON HOLIDAYS!!! Great, though I do get a bit more time then, until Friday! And after talking to Lute, I don't need 10,000, I need 18,000 D:

So I went into the Green Ruins and got some loot....and got knocked out by a chicken....

...

SO GUESS I WASTED THAT DAY HUH?!

I've decided that I will take a break after summer 1 to focus on trying to finish xenoblade before X comes out though I'll prob fail at that :V

so an update today as well!

Spring 26:
TO THE GREEN RUINS AWAY!!!!

-few hours later-

RUN FROM THE CHICKENS!!!!

After getting some relatively okay loot from the Green Ruins, I ran into Mist who didn't know if she wanted to eat omelettes with turnip rice or turnip stir fry for dinner...I'm starting to wonder about that girl...

From there I climbed up to Lagga and slaughtered everything while grabbing iron! I kept going until our injuries got bad enough for me to run into Iris' house, though it was almost midnight by then. I spoke with her some and then went home, tossing things into the shipping box then tried to cook some food. Emphasis on tried...it burnt on me...

Welp! Sleep time!

Spring 27:
I had a dream again, a strange one. A voice was speaking, whether to me or not I do not know. It said it was my maker, a father-like figure. It congratulated me on being born, then thanked me for it. It told me that I was the first magical creature to be made out of the spiritual power of runes, a monster. I was the first step...and then it wondered why it told me such things. It decided to present me with a name...and I awoke. I stared into space for a bit as I thought about what to do...and then went out.

I got a letter from Uzuki asking if I had heard anything about her brother. I watered crops and decided, "YA KNOW WHAT THIS SERIES NEEDS MORE OF? GRINDING FOR MONEY!"

Thus I spent the day in the Green Ruins kicking butt and taking loot, and thankfully I didn't run out of either. By the end of the day I have a total of 15,000 G! 5,000 left to go! As I returned home, I stopped by Selphy's, who asked if I was reading. She said she prefered a smarter me rather than one who could only farm. Mist also told me she found a strange seed and was watering it everyday and wanted me to see it one day. I smiled as I finally got home and plopped into bed exhausted. I almost have enough!

Spring 28:
Know what time it is? Grinding time! Water crops then running o-

Annette was staring at me. I asked her what was going on and she said I looked fit and that boys should be fit...ooookay, that's good I guess? I wandered around thinking about that and ended up in the library. I spoke to Selphy about Annette and she said the two were similar. Annette was like a book lover...but a bit different?

ENOUGH DISTRACTIONS, GREEN RUINS, GO!

After a successful looting, I threw it in the shipping bin and now have 1,700, so close! I then went up to Lagga and got even more loot! I spoke to Iris some and she asked if I had considered moving up there since it never got too hot or cold. Hmmm, since I'm already trying to figure out what's wrong up here maybe...NO WAIT I CAN'T CAUSE MONSTERS AND NO HOME SPACE ;W;

Welp, time for bed, hope I manage to reach my goal!

Spring 29:
I've been thinking a lot about that dream, and the spirits, and what the runeys are... So I did some reading in the library and began to capture the runeys. I've spent all day gathering them, and I also notice that everyone had two things. A flower, and a smile. I eventually found out Eunice was giving people flowers, hoping to make them happy... she then gave me one.

I eyed the flower as I continued to gather the runey's, watching some plants begin to wilt as the magic was drained from the area. I kept going until it got dark and I noticed Lagga up in the sky. I remembered the flower, and went up into the clouds. I fought through monsters, ignoring the loot, until I made it. I went up to Iris and gave her a flower, she was the only one not to have recieved one. She gave me the largest smile I had ever seen, and said she would cherish the flower. I felt so happy just to see her face. I watched her draw with charcoal, and she told me she was terrible at it. I told her I'd return to see it when it was done, and went back home, grabbing more runey's as I went. I had gathered so many, I just hoped the land could survive what I was planning....

Re: Rune Factory Frontier Journal! - Spring 30

Post by Awoopon on 2nd October 2015, 11:26 pm

Spring 30:
I got up and got right to work, running to the Clock Tower and taking notes on the location of Runeys. Then I ran out...and spent the day releasing the ones I gathered yesterday in specific areas. I evened out the populations as much as I could, and flooded my farm with as many as I could. As I did this, I spoke to Annette who said that her bag was too big for her but she had to carry it because of all the mail. I asked if carrying such a big bag was dangerous...and she got angry thinking I called her a midget?!

I continued speaking with her and learned tomorrow was the start of the best season of all....SWIMSUIT SEASON! Drooling I mean...Summer! Yeah...summer...

All the girls seemed excited and told me about how they wanted to go swimming....except for one. This was the first time I saw Eunice sad. She told me that she couldn't bring herself to make herself a swimsuit, despite her making one for Uzuki. She seemed so upset but then said she'd rather talk about less depressing things and got back to the laundry...

I then ran into Kanno who told me my next test was to get an emerald. I asked since when it was a test and he yelled at me to quite complaining and get an emerald...I think I know where to get one...

As I finished my runey releasing I had a few tree runeys left over so I turned them into rune stones then was about to sleep when I realized I forgot about the beach! Oh well... I do wonder what the next season will bring...

New friends...or enemies? New adventures...or dangers? Perhaps I will grow closer to my friends...or more distant?

FIND OUT IN THE NEXT SEASON OF RUNE FACTORY FRONTIER!

Spoiler:
I'm evil :D

Figured this was a good stopping point before my break as I'd return for the next season literally :D

As for why I messed with the runeys, the game has a system where runeys consume each other as tree eat grass, rock eat tree, water eat rock, and water determine how many grass grow. If runeys all run out, crops slow their growth, and people become emotionally more distant. It is the hardest part of the game and takes effort to maintain, but if you reach prosperity then crops grow twice as fast and people love each other more! I ain't gonna get prosperity anywhere but my farm cause that's insane hard :V
So then, I'll post here when I return for Summer, until then, what'd you think so far and who's your waifu thus far, also any requests for next season? :D
