Re: The Dancing Peacock
Speaking of the Juggernaut, I just got to it on my Sovereign file and I'm also having a ton of trouble with it. I have my Sovereign as my healer (with War Lore Grimoires) and he just...can't heal enough.

Beat the Juggernaut and the Overlord!
I'm gonna do Ginnungagap B5F and then that's gonna be it for this file. I doubt my team is good enough to take on the sixth stratum, even on Picnic.

Re: The Dancing Peacock
So I picked up Etrian Mystery Dungeon again today and proceeded to express befuddlement as to why some skills (example: Gunner's Bind Snipes) have differing TP costs when they're more or less the same thing.
Or why Head Snipe has the capacity for two more levels compared to Arm and Leg Snipe. Like, what the heck?

Yeah, it's crazy.
Though, I'm glad they went with IV's skill increments rather than just making every skill either 5 or 10 like every other game. Way easier to max shit out.

It's a sword. The ultimate sword, in fact, bar the one you get from beating Ur-Devil on Expert. It's stats are Attack +210 and all stats +5.

So...basically the best sword that you have a Notable Thing to use it on.
How do you get it?

Re: The Dancing Peacock
The three elemental dragons (Great Dragon, Storm Emperor and Blizzard King) that you fight post-game will each rarely drop a scale when beaten. You need one of each scale in order to buy it. Formaldehyde is your friend for this, as they also have conditional drops.

Rare drops.
Three of them.
That you need to get probably one of The Second Best Sword.
Yeaaaaah, Formaldehyde is probably the best bet.

Yep. But on the bright side, you don't need to get those drops again to buy more than one.

Re: The Dancing Peacock
That literally makes it way more tolerable. Too bad I left my copy of EOU2 at my mom's house.
Is there a way to get more Formaldehydes outside of treasure chests?

Re: The Dancing Peacock
You can buy more with the drop you get from killing a Cursed Pumpkin (a 6th Stratum F.O.E.) with poison damage. And I think a couple quests have some 'Hyde as a reward. If you save the ones you get, you ought to have enough.
Wait, hang on. There's another easy way to get the scales: Drink Yggdrasil-Bud Tea. You're very likely to get them if you kill the respective dragon with the tea in effect. You'll need to kill them with their own element if you want their conditionals though. (Sovereign Circles and Troubadour Fantasias come in handy here)

I feel like Dark Hunters should be able to equip collars since their whip skills are bondage-themed and they're wearing a billion chains and belts and stuff.

Pretty sure that I already asked such a question, but are members of a class have difference appearances.
